We recently had quick dinner at this place on Sunday evening and ordered their wagyu pho with combination beef cuts (dac biet) and a pair of Vietnamese sugar cane prawn patties (chao tom). The place is supposed to serve Northern Vietnamese style dishes so we were interested to try whether they're as good as the ones in Marrickville suburb like VN Street Food or Hanoi Quan.
The dishes are OK and we like their pho soup which was beefy and hot with variety usual cuts including beef meatball, tendon and tripe. They also provided special satay sauce and fresh chopped chillies if you asked in addition to normal red hot and dark hoisin sauces provided on each table. The chao tom are nice also but nothing special. The dish portion is reasonable for the prices charged.
The ambience and decoration of the place are reasonable for casual family restaurant in a suburb like Eastwood. Customer services from floor staff was a bit clumsy though with the staff member forgot to give us the usual sauce for the chao tom and we had to wait longer. You can pay with credit cards but pay a flat additional surcharge...
Read moreThis has been our favourite Vietnamese restaurant at Eastwood but their two waitresses have just made our family to come to this place the last time. We have three kids with us but they were really not very helpful and kind towards us . They took their own sweet time to clean the table and giving very unpleasant vibes to us. Almost seeing us like pests in the restaurant. One of the waitresses (with glasses) was rude to my 5 yo who wasn't really in her way but in a very loud rude voice said 'excuse me'. And again, when returned to the restaurant hoping that we can borrow the toilet but they declined said that their toilet was closed and it wasn't even closing time yet. These two waitresses are not service oriented, definitely see that they just want the money and provide the most minimum service they can. The menu is family friendly but not the waitresses. Sad to say, won't be coming back to this restaurant because of the services by these two waitresses today. However the pork chok is still the...

The beef pho and the chicken was great, and would definitely recommend that to anyone craving it.
It was $11.50 for 3 Vietnamese Rolls (which was quite nice, especially with the peanut sauce) and $10 for these teeny meat spring rolls (which I forgot to take a photo of). The spring rolls tasted really weird too so I wouldn't recommend it. Weird thing was, the spring rolls came last despite it being listed as an entree e.g. we received the viet rolls, pho (x2) and chicken... and then 10-15 minutes after we got the spring rolls.
Customer service was great though. The staff kept giving us refilled containers of the tea jugs.
Overall, it was a so-so place, however if you want mainly pho, you'll definitely enjoy this...
