Grace Road Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

I stumbled upon this cozy little cafe late last year and it quickly became my go-to spot for my coffee despite me being closer to other popular spots like the social and quick brown fox.

The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and the owner's always there to greet you with a smile and chat you up while taking your order.

I always go for the large/jumbo mocha, and it’s always made perfectly and fast too.

If you're in the neighbourhood I recommend swinging by this place. Fantastic coffee, quick and friendly service while also being decently priced make it a winning combination in my opinion.

I had a very disappointing experience today. June 2, 2025 around 630am. The service was extremely poor, and I felt unwelcome and disrespected. I asked for my croissant to be toasted, and not only was it flattened, but I was also questioned about how long it should stay in the toaster—which seemed unprofessional and rude. When I raised my concern, instead of addressing the issue, the staff member (an Asian lady) told me to buy from somewhere else and didn’t even return the croissant.

The attitude of the lady was terrible. They didn’t have much stock available of what was on the menu and instead of getting suggestions of what they have I got attitude trying to rush me to order like anyone was in line behind me when it was just us. Food is mediocre. Nothing lovely about the place at all. The terrible attitude of the lady on the counter just ruins the whole place.
