Grand paradise — Restaurant in Sydney

As a regular customer for over a year, I’ve come to appreciate the biryani, which is consistently good, likely because it’s cooked in bulk. However, on October 29th around 1 AM, I ordered both biryani and palak paneer, and unfortunately, the palak paneer was missing salt entirely, which really impacted the flavor.

One recurring issue I’ve noticed is the lack of attention to detail with other dishes, and I’ve observed this both in takeout and when dining in. Additionally, when I visit the store, I often see the staff on their phones or not fully engaged. It gives the impression that quality and customer service are not priorities, particularly during the night shifts.

This is a genuine suggestion to the owner: please consider reinforcing with staff the importance of attentiveness to food quality and customer experience, especially during late hours. Implementing some limits on phone use might help ensure that every dish and every interaction meets the standards expected. On 24th September 2025, I ordered a 5-liter Bucket Biryani from Grand Paradise. Instead of receiving the proper 5-liter bucket, I was given five small containers of 750 ml each – only 3.75 liters in total, which means I lost 1.25 liters of food I paid for. To make things worse, the biryani I received did not taste like their usual in-store recipe, and no receipt was provided with my order.

I requested a refund through Uber Eats, but it was denied because the restaurant didn’t respond. For me, this feels like a scam and very poor service.

After this experience, I am never going to Grand Paradise again and I will not recommend them to any of my friends. Deccan Flavor provides much better taste and service, and I would suggest others go...
