5 minutes of poetry Loredana Tudor-Tomescu5 minutes of poetry Loredana Tudor-Tomescu
We were setting up a celebration, a very important one at the puppet theatre who provided programs for children for over 25 years by now. And we had everything setup at the back ,on the amphitheatre stage : tables, splendidly decorated with fairy lights and jars with flowers and fairy lights and pyramid decorations with fairy lights in, and balloons with confetti and helium and lights... In 20 minutes everything was trashed by a bunch of kids, between 8-12 years old. They even had the nerve to come around, at the front of the theatre and ask to be let inside. I told them that without an adult or a carer I can not let them in, but I opened the door widely, so they could see the puppets and the marionettes. They asked me questions and I kindly answered all of them. At a point, one of them asked me if I'm a Christian, in no relation with anything that we've been talking. Then they told me that there is a lot of glass at the back of the theatre and when I went to check, everything was broken and smashed beyond recognition. glass everywhere, in a space dedicated to children! I started to cry and to clean, the celebration ruined, the resources and props ruined (and they were borrowed from a friend who is a primary school teacher), my trust that children are all.angels-ruined! And what question is that, coming from an 9-10 years old boy: are you a Christian? Only to find out, 5 min later that they've trashed my work and my things without remorse ,also without me doing anything ofensive or bad to them... Regardless how beautiful Wiley Park is, if that's what populates it (as this is not the first time things like this happened there),

Love to go there with my kids.... Swings are really good. Full of natural beauty... Environment is very fresh and peaceful. There are some exercise equipments also... Great place for jogging. Love the small lakes in the park. Birds and ducks make the place even more beautiful. Plenty of sitting place and car parking...

Plenty of parking available i recon its for whole day or unlimited. Pretty small however well managed. Plenty of activities to do like child play, gym, morning walk or may be just sit down. Beautyful water view, and wounderful birds and little animals. However, water is pretty dirty.

Wiley Park is a true gem, and it is deserving of every single one of its five stars. For outdoor aficionados, this tranquil area in the middle of the city is a retreat and a welcome respite from the bustle of daily life.

Wiley Park welcomes you with breathtaking natural splendour that surrounds you right away. The park's centrepiece is a serene lake and is surrounded by lovely trees and lush vegetation. You are invited to unwind, and connect with nature in the inviting surroundings that the well-kept grounds and tranquil atmosphere generate.

The wealth of recreational opportunities available to visitors of all ages is one of Wiley Park's most notable attractions. The vast open spaces offer plenty of space for picnics, ball games, or just lounging in the sun. The thoughtfully constructed walking and cycling trails provide the ideal setting for taking a leisurely stroll or engaging in an energising jog while taking in the natural beauty of the park.

A real gem is the lake in Wiley Park. It not only enhances the park's scenic appeal but also provides a variety of water-related activities. The lake offers a rejuvenating refuge whether you wish to take a leisurely boat ride or go kayaking in quiet. It's a charming location for families and nature lovers because of the ducks and other species that are present.

It is admirable that Wiley Park is dedicated to offering amenities to all guests. The park has well-kept amenities like spotless public bathrooms, barbeque picnic spaces, and shady seating places. These considerate modifications improve the whole experience and turn it into a relaxing setting for parties and outings.

Wiley Park is a favourite with both locals and visitors due to its handy location and accessibility. There is plenty of parking available for visitors arriving by car and the park has excellent access to public transportation. It's a perfect location for a day trip with friends and family because of its close access to other neighbourhoods and attractions.

The park clearly cares about visitor safety, as evidenced by the strategically placed signage, well-lit sections, and security precautions. Visitors can take pleasure in their time without worrying because it offers a secure environment.

Finally, it's important to emphasise Wiley Park's participation in local festivities and events. Festivals, concerts, and other cultural events are routinely held in the park, generating a spirit of togetherness and joy. These gatherings bring an extra layer of colour and give individuals from various backgrounds the chance to interact and share experiences.

In conclusion, Wiley Park is a true gem that offers a serene and enchanting outdoor experience. With its natural beauty, recreational opportunities, convenient amenities, and commitment to community engagement, it is an ideal destination for individuals and families seeking a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city. Nice place to breathe in this hectic life where tech. Mobile are stressing us every day. However, I did not go for any intertainment rather than was a good place where people are gathered to explain our aim & to collect petitions to demerge from Bankstown Council & bring back our Canterbury Council. Mr Baird 2016 the previous premier sold us & gave money to Canterbury Council inciting it to amalgamate with Bankstown Council: wrong doing. The park is not plain: hills & down so tiring but for young people would be fine. I came back with lower back problem straight away to sleep nearly after...
