Grandma's Laksa House — Restaurant in Sydney

Sorry to say the food is not up to standard. The laksa broth was too thin and light. Not enough sambal paste or coconut milk. Tasted a bit weird and bitter, perhaps from reused oil? Chicken pieces were not tasty and overcooked. Definitely one of the worst laksa I had so it baffled me with the other’s comment about their laksa. I came after reading their high ratings and I was really excited to try it. Alas what a huge disappointment!

Definitely one of the best laksa in the local area. Not too spicy and has depth of flavour in the laksa broth. We ordered a takeaway chicken tofu laksa and Char Kway Tiao. Simple yet flavoursome! Came across this hidden spot (located behind a pub, in an alley) as we were walking around the fish market to glebe foreshore. Open everyday from 12midday until 9pm at night. Affordable eatery good for take-away or order eat in and grab a table in pub next door and a drink to wash it down....

This is sort of hard to find. It’s a food venue within a pub on the corner and is tucked away in the back. The pub is cool and the food is okay. The laksa was presented well, but was a bit watery for my liking. The curry puffs and chicken satay were good. We also ordered beef red and with rice and that was good. Overall a good option inside the pub. Went in on a Thursday night at 7pm and there were limited seats mostly due to size of the venue and only 4 tables...
