The venue itself is huge, but honestly, greyhound racing feels very outdated and out of place in the heart of Sydney in 2025. The sport is long past its time, and the space could definitely be transformed into something more meaningful—whether that’s a modern community hub, an educational or cultural facility, or even something fun and innovative that better reflects today’s city vibe. The location is prime, but the concept is tired. This is a site with so much potential—it deserves to be reimagined into something that people can truly enjoy and benefit from.

Let’s stand together against cruel practices like greyhound racing! True civilisation is measured by how we treat the most vulnerable, and we cannot call ourselves humane unless we act with compassion. Join us on 17 October 2025 to raise our voices, promote kindness, and show that a civilised society protects, not exploits. Together, we can make change.

It was thrilling to see the hounds up close after watching them on TV for months before while playing the Tabs here down under. Was expecting a bit more energy at this track - only a handful of people in the stands and a another dozen or so inside drinking beers. My buddy got some delicious fries that I sampled but by the time I went to order a round they had already closed the food counter - total bummer. It was also strangely enough quite difficult to gamble at this gambling establishment. As a foreigner I could not download the Tab app, and the Tab machines only take cash. There are no ATM’s in the joint, and foreign cards are not excepted at the cashier’s desk. So I had to walk 20 minutes return trip to a pub to get cash and I missed betting on my favourite hound - Rockin’ Ronnie. Overall still happy I went and that Wentworth hound track still exists in central Sydney. Pro tip: at the cashier’s desk they give out sample bags of the same dog biscuits they treat the hounds with after the race. I took a pack but then remembered I don’t have a dog nor do I know...

Wentworth Park is an historic sporting venue and has a lot of history associated to Rugby League as hosting the first professional games of the sport and also being the home ground of Glebe from 1908 to 1929. I have watched Greyhound Racing here in the past and it's always been good. The facilities are a little bit old but not so old that they need a renovation.

I came back here yesterday for The Glebe vs Blacktown and Newtown V Blacktown Rugby League games and I really enjoyed the experience. It was the first time in 90 years a game had been played here and it was an historic day. Hopefully they play more games like this...

When coming there Saturday the facility was not cleaned, how do you not have a atm or atleast let the tab provide the services large group over 30 people there and the office only was able to give you money over the counter but they only held $2k what a joke ran out by race 8, common sense guys hence why it’s a poor turn out , guys good get some food trucks in the carpark like maybe 3-4 will bring a big turn out of families and younger crowd to enjoy the facility I think very big meeting and brainstorm needs to occur here otherwise better board members to give...
