Edit: Within hours of me posting this review, a swarm of Hamasniks swooped in to leave five-star reviews for a cafe most of them have clearly never set foot in. (You can tell by their other reviews - or lack thereof.) 10+ reviews in a matter of hours. Prior to mine, the last review was 3 weeks ago. Nice company the owners of this cafe keep.

Sorry, but I just had such a ‘blah’ experience at this cafe and felt the need to share. Here's why:
They seem to have odd takeaway coffee sizes compared to every other cafe – one is too small and the other is too big. I was tossing up between a coffee that’s over in about two sips and a coffee that’s far too milky for my tastes. I overpaid for the larger cup and asked them not to fill it to the top.
I ordered a mocha and it was so sickly sweet I couldn’t drink it. I ended up stopping at another café. I just wanted a decent mocha that’s a nice balance between coffee and chocolate. I have one mocha per day from cafes all over Sydney and I can’t remember the last time I received one that I found un-drinkable.
You'd think when you’re minutes from closing and trying to get rid of the last of your cakes that you’d offer your customer a discount, especially as they're not as fresh as they were in the morning. Apparently not. The cakes were still full price, so I didn’t buy one. Such a gesture of goodwill might have created a return customer, but this wasn’t something they seemed to care about. In fact, there was just a general, overall vibe of not caring.
They're raising money for Hamas. The pamphlets are front and centre on the counter as you wait for your coffee. It says 'Palestinians', but we all know innocent Palestinian civilians won't see a cent of that money. Regardless of the cause, I’m not a fan of shoving your charity of choice down your customers' throats. There’s a time and a place – and that ain’t it.
There are just too many other good cafes in Mosman, so I won't be going back...

Nestled in the heart of our community, Heirloom is a sunny spot with ample parking.
Dog and kid-friendly with plenty of outdoor seating, the coffee and food is excellent.
The customer service is next level. Staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. It was clear that they care deeply not just about their patrons, but also about the wider community.
I was particularly uplifted yesterday to see that they were fundraising for those displaced by the ongoing war on Gaza, a cause that resonates deeply with many of us who are aware of the struggles faced by communities in Palestine and Lebanon. Their efforts highlight the importance of compassion and support for those in need, reminding us that we can all make a difference, no matter how small.
In a world where businesses often prioritize profit over people, Heirloom stands tall as a beacon of admirable values, morals, integrity, and humanity. Congratulations to the entire team for creating such a nurturing space that not only serves delicious food but also fosters a sense of community and support.
I left not just with a full belly, but with a renewed sense of hope and connection to those who need it most. Thank...
