I have been a loyal customer of Heytea George since its opening day. I even waited three hours in line on the first day just to try the Cheese Jasmine Tea and matcha drinks, which had excellent quality back then. Since then, I have consistently ordered from your store 1-2 times per week. However, I have noticed a significant decline in quality, especially with the matcha drinks. The matcha flavor has become noticeably weaker. At first, I thought it was a training issue, but after repeatedly experiencing the same diluted taste, it’s clear that this is now the standard rather than an isolated mistake.

Beyond the decline in quality, the service at your store has become shockingly unprofessional. Yesterday, I placed an in-store order and experienced some of the worst service I’ve ever encountered. When I approached the counter, two staff members were there, but they completely ignored me. One male employee was busy chatting with his friend instead of attending to waiting customers. He only started taking my order when his friend needed to place one as well, prioritizing personal interactions over actual customers.

What was even more frustrating was the preparation process. My drink was already sitting at the pickup counter for a long time, only missing the final cheese foam topping. However, the staff were completely disorganized, moving around aimlessly for five whole minutes while failing to complete even a single drink. I have worked in a bubble tea shop before, and I know that with this level of inefficiency, if the store weren’t operating under the Heytea brand, it would have gone out of business long ago.

After waiting ten minutes, I finally asked if they could speed up since my drink was practically done. The same male employee, who had been more focused on his friend earlier, responded with a “yes” but deliberately slowed down even further. He even performed unnecessary actions, such as replacing the lid on a completed drink, just to stall. Instead of following the correct order queue, he chose to serve other drinks first—even though mine was already third or fourth in line—further proving the staff’s lack of professionalism and disregard for customers.

This was not just slow service—it was a blatant display of negligence, favoritism, and an unprofessional attitude toward paying customers. If your employees prioritize their friends over actual customers and intentionally delay service, they have no business working in customer service. I am extremely disappointed and will reconsider supporting this store in the future. AT LEAST NOT THIS...

They cheated the refund process to customers, therefore please be careful.

First, I received a refund of $11.06 this morning, but I do not tolerate your unusual customer response. Second, I ordered tea for $11.06 at 2:32 pm, 17 Nov 2024, but the staff did not ask about the sugar and ice level. When I waited for my ordered tea, the staff asked about the sugar and ice level of another customer, therefore I told the staff the sugar and ice level for my ordered tea. Staff told me she had to cancel my previous order and payment had to be again. I did not understand why I had to repay. I just requested sugar and ice levels for my ordered tea, but anyway, I repaid $11.06 at 2:30 pm, 17 Nov 2024. Staff issued a refund invoice as attached photo. Third, when the refund was done via Eftpos, the refund amount was shown in my bank account with the unavailable fund, but the refunds was not completed by 19 Nov 2024, therefore I called your store. But your manager’s customer response was unbelievable, unprofessional and cheated. Your manager told me that I had to visit your store. Does it make sense? It takes more than one hour from my house to your store. I complained about this, after that, your manager re-requested the order number and she told me she could not do anything if I told the order number. Does it also make sense? Who remembered the order number? It was so unpleasant and I felt that you did not want to refund. Fourth, I looked for my bag and found the order receipt and I told her. When I checked the refund receipts, the refund amount was not $11.06 but $10.90. It was also ridiculous and you cheated the refund amount to the customer. The refund should be done immediately, but you tried to avoid a refund for any reason.

I do not tolerate your unethical behaviour towards customers. I will report a complaint to Fairwork and ATO on your cheated...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Heytea in Sydney's Chinatown, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. Here is my 5-star review:

Heytea, originally from China, has made a name for itself in the bubble tea world, and their outpost in Sydney's Chinatown lives up to the hype. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The modern and stylish interior design added to the overall appeal of the place.

The menu at Heytea is extensive, offering a wide variety of bubble tea flavors and combinations. I opted for their passionfruit orange Tea, and it was a game-changer. The fresh fruit perfectly balanced the sweetness of the tea, creating a unique and delightful flavor. The quality of the tea itself was exceptional, and the pearls were cooked to perfection - chewy and flavorful.

The service at Heytea was top-notch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They took the time to explain the different options and even made recommendations based on my preferences. The drinks were prepared quickly and with great care.

The value for money at Heytea is excellent. The prices are reasonable considering the high quality of the ingredients and the overall experience. The portion sizes were generous, and I felt satisfied after enjoying my bubble tea.

Overall, Heytea in Sydney's Chinatown is a must-visit for bubble tea enthusiasts. The ambiance, flavors, service, and value all contribute to an exceptional experience. I highly recommend Heytea to anyone looking for a delicious and refreshing bubble tea in Sydney.
