This BBQ restaurant is truly unforgettable! From the quality of the meat to the side dishes, every bite showcases the freshness of the ingredients and the care put into the cooking. The grilled meat is especially impressive—tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked, releasing an irresistible aroma. Pairing it with their special dipping sauce elevates the flavors even more. The cheesy corn was another highlight, with its rich, creamy taste and sweet corn kernels providing a delightful burst of flavor in every bite. The restaurant’s atmosphere is cozy and clean, and the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. They frequently check on the grill, adjusting the heat and ensuring everything is cooked to perfection, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, both the food and service are top-notch. This place is perfect for gatherings or simply satisfying your BBQ cravings. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to all BBQ lovers!

Found Dae Jang Kum open wandering back late from theatre. What a win at around 2330 with the hungers on. There were many other diners there compared to others places open empty nearby: a good sign. We ordered dumplings (6 serve), the 🌶🌶🌶 spicy KFChicken and Tteokbokki (half serve), and stone bibimbap, a beer and wine. Great range of tasty, authentic pickles included. Service was quick, friendly and helpful. Food arrived promptly and was spot on. Chicken remained super crispy, even sauced, and was tender and moist inside. Heat was good but only "Aussie" hot. I prefer a little more kick. There were only 4 tteokbokki with the chicken. In hindsight, though, we were bagged out - good advice from our friendly waiter to not get the fried rice as well, although it would've been fantastic for brekkie today! As you can see, we demolished the lot. Total cost - $55 for 2. I think fantastic value. Highly recommended.

Honestly I have no idea how this restaurant has such a good rating and so many good reviews. We went to the restaurant on Valentine's Day and this was such a disappointment that we decided not to finish up the food and save some stomach for desserts. We ordered the Kimchi Pancake, Korean BBQ with Premium Beef Short Ribs and Spicy Chicken. I at least go to KBBQ once every month and have tried at least 7 different KBBQ restaurants around Sydney. This Premium Beef Short Ribs ($42) was the WORST I've ever tried. My favourite was to dip the premium beef into just salts, so I can taste how good and juicy the meat is. However, this one had a really weird smell and taste, almost similar to when you put too much cooking wine in your dishes. However, when we checked with the waitress, they said there was nothing added to the meat. I guess it was just the meat itself being bad quality then. It is just unacceptable how expensive this is compared to the quality. The I would give 3.5 stars to the Kimchi Pancake and spicy chicken. The Kimchi Pancake was quite crispy and the spicy chicken was ok. I don't normally give restaurant such a low rating, but this has been such a terrible experience for me. I would ask everyone to reconsider other options if you want some premium kbbq experience.

(3.5 stars) Just when I was starting to think good value could only be found in Burwood, Haymarket struck back with Dae Jang Kum Korean BBQ. Perfectly placed for dinner after a film, this popular Korean restaurant decked out in traditional blonde wood, boasts a late night (12am) kitchen. Super friendly floor staff seat us immediately, setting us up with seven bowls of banchan shortly after we place our order. We kick our late night meal off with a super-sized jeon: a fluffy seafood pancake ($25) studded with octopus and prawns. A hot stone bowl ($23) of beef bibimbap with a cheese ($4) add-on isn’t the tastiest or best version I’ve tried. However it’s hot and comforting on a cold night, and, after the ravages of lockout laws then COVID-19, I’m grateful to be able to eat honest, healthy food after ten o’clock at night. We wrap our meal with a half serve of spicy fried chicken with rice cake ($25). Glistening with sticky red sauce the nicely cooked boneless hunks of bird are slightly too sweet for me, saved by a good level of spiciness underneath. They suit Kloud ($7) Korean beer. Portions here are generous, but takeaway containers are happily supplied.

Worst experience in my life! Me and my partner always your fan more than 8 years. This time is unacceptable for us, we will not gonna be here again FOREVER. I asked one of their staff to give me fews minutes to eat lots of my cooked meat before put more items on the grill. We’ve got to yell out from staff ‘restaurant will be closed in less than one hour! So me and my partner must leave the restaurant on time!’ and acted pungent. Got it! But why this staff’s angry on me. Totally understand that you will be closed soon, and we keep eating non-stop since we’ve got food, not even talking much but we cannot eat burnt meat and it’s waste that why I asked them to give me fews minutes for chewing my meat. Spend $150 for sit down, ate nice food for around 30- 40 mins and left at 11.26 pm before the restaurant closed 34 mins. If we cannot finish our food that we’ve ordered on time, I believe that everyone still must pay for its anyway. Today we’re left with lots nice food on our table and feel very sorry for losing one of our favourite restaurants. Very disappointing.

Visited on a weekend lunch, restaurant was about 1/2 full/empty. We ordered spicy beef ribs ($25) and cold noodles with beef ($17). Beef ribs were towards the salty side, but it complimented well with the cold noodles that was very sweet. Individually, the dishes were not fantastic but together, they were not that bad. The cold noodles were disappointing as it only had two thin slices of beef with half an egg. Beef ribs was fall off the bone but you really need something sweet/ bland to go with it. Service was terrible, especially the non korean staffs who were very rude to us, particularly when my korean friend was speaking in korean. We were seated next to a storage door, and they kept going in and out of it, having to push one of my friends chair and our table whenever they enter/leave. I would suggest not putting a table for customers if the staffs have to access the room so frequently. We had our conversations disrupted countless times because of this, moving our seats and tables. This ruined our experience here, would not return again.
