In Paradise — Restaurant in Sydney

suggested by and ordered through menulog, order number 282348264. next time will try call to order so menulog doesn’t take a cut. first time ordering, received $5 off a $50 order. We ordered prosciutto pizza, aglio pizza and ‘carbonara’. not sure if standard or mistake but there were two pastas in bag (welcome addition)!? their carbonara seems to be standard Australian pizza shop carbonara, not traditional. there is cream in the sauce. ours had garlic and shallots in sauce but no mushroom so couldn’t have been a boscaiola… or boscaiola without mushrooms? Delicious but I had higher hopes based on menu description / ingredients listed on website when ordering. Pizza bases aren’t traditional Neapolitan and don’t claim to be. Fired in a very nice looking domed oven, pizzas were light, crisp and flavoursome. A very welcome amount of prosciutto and a VERY tasty oil on top! the shop itself is very tucked in behind / next to the church. Most direct way is down the left side of church. Easy enough to find. Only staff I encountered was an older gentleman who even though was working alone, he was very welcoming...

I was just in the area for a quick car service and wanted to grab a casual bite — ended up discovering this hidden gem of an Italian pizza place!

The restaurant is located right next to a church. Follow the map to a small side gate, walk along the left side of the church, and you’ll find it. A cozy spot with real charm.

We ordered the Chicken & Mushroom Penne, Lasagne, and a Gorgonzola white base pizza. The pizza had a thin crust with crispy edges, and the toppings were perfectly balanced. The lasagne was rich and flavorful with a delicious Bolognese sauce, and the penne with mushroom and chicken in cream sauce was also amazing. We were so hungry we forgot to take any pictures before finishing everything — that says a lot!

The chef was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience...

I tried the pizza for the first time tonight and ordered a gluten free vegetarian pizza with vegan cheese. It was absolutely amazing! It's hard to find a delicious authentic pizza when you have dietary needs, and I finally found the Gold with this one. The owner was super nice too....
