Iron Duke Hotel — Restaurant in Sydney

We frequent the Iron Duke on Friday after work as the local with a sunny beer garden. They always have a good selection of beers on taps; both your classics and a changing craft beer menu too. It was great.

What really took this review to a five star though is the food. It is really, really good!! You have your pub classics and pizza but also a full menu where the quality, taste and presentation is superior to your standard corner pub, all whilst being well priced. Everytime my parents visit, and they can eat out anywhere in Sydney, they always choose to come here. Their Sunday roasts for $22 are worth a visit alone. I can’t recommend the food here enough, it’s why I keep coming back and differentiates it from all pubs...

I was pleasantly surprised by this pub! It is huge, has an indoor and large outdoor area. Is dog friendly in their outside area. It’s just off of Botany road and isn’t too noisy.

Their food is delicious and we will be coming back this week to try more! Really good parmi and the po’ boy was excellent. Their salt and pepper squid was very high quality for a pub.

They have a large range of beers on tap and their staff are very friendly. Other patrons were friendly too, a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend their cider on tap Batlow cloudy cider, wasn’t overly sweet, not too dry either - perfect!

As the sun sets the large tree outside is lit up by fairy lights. Truly beautiful.

The outdoor area...

Great tasting food, super friendly service and great atmosphere. Massive sign out front suggesting you can bring your dog but when we asked, it was only outside which was slightly annoying. Lucky we got a table with a heater so I was comfortable and the courtyard was nicely done out. Wednesday night seems to have a quizz night which looked like a lot of fun although as we were outside with puppy, couldn't participate. Bathrooms were neat and clean and awesome background music. Got parking pretty quickly although pub is on a main road you need to walk a bit through side streets. They don't do desert which was slightly disappointing but the selection of mains and snacks and veggie options were...
