IGA Alexandria — Local services in Sydney

SCAMMERS!!!! Doesn't even deserve a 1 star! I parked my car in loading because I was loading something in my car. I was under the impression it was for the whole unit block. A man came out and said there was parking underground to which I replied I'm just putting something in and I'll go. That man said ok. As soon as we walked out he closed the door. I spoke to the person at the main register and he said I have to pay $500 to get my car out!!!! No signs say it's private property or a sign indicating that there's a $500 fine. I have never in my life dealt with a rude, aggressive and racist man!! He said pay the 500 and you will get your car. I cried and told him I have kids to go home to and I live an hour away. He just shrugged his shoulders. It wasn't until I was telling the customers and they were shocked that he opened the door. This is a scam and I will be reporting it...

This small and scrupulously clean IGA is very Inner-West; tiny selection of cleaning and necessary family products like nappies and kitchen paper, huge selection of organic and/or local and/or gourmet foods, dips and spices. It's a small store so don't expect to find a massive range of products but you'll usually find what you need (definitely if what you need is delicious things to eat). The meat and veg sections are small but serviceable, and they stock lots of delicious brands such as Maggie Beer, Yalla etc. Good selections of gluten-free items and ready-to-heat meals too.
