I booked a table by the window for my wife's birthday dinner. Staff were warm and friendly. Kitchen service was slow. A starter of a small cup of soup and a hot bread roll with French butter was provided to us quite quickly, after were ordered our meal. My wife ordered an entrée of Lobster Agnolotti ($26), consisting of delicious pasta filled with lobster meat and swimming in a creamy leek veloute and shellfish sauce. That was a must try dish, wonderful. I tried the Terrine of Poultry and Game ($24) consisting of duck, chicken and quail meat in a savoury jelly with truffle and potato, picked baby vegetables and two shards of crispy garlic toast. Most delicious tastes, enjoyed it immensely. For mains we both ordered the delicious and succulent Lamb Saddle ($38), consisting of two medallions of lamb rolled with mushrooms and spinach, zucchini King brown mushroom, onion, baby turnips, green beans in a port wine jus. Super delicious. We ordered a side of creamy mash potato ($12) which was amazingly blended. I savoured a generous glass of Australian shiraz with the lamb and we both shared a bottle of sparkling mineral water. For dessert, we shared a really extravagant tasting, Apple Tart Tatin ($16) which consisted of local apple baked in caramel and puff pastry and served with vanilla and cinnamon icecream. We completed our meal with well made, flat white coffees. Food was fine dining, the dishes were well designed and the food flavours exciting and definitely worth trying by people with mature tastes. A meal here is highly recommended.

Scrolling through Google trying to find somewhere nice to eat after our day in scenic world and stumbled upon this restaurant. Surprised with its 4.2 rating as this should be 5 stars. They just launched their new menu and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The portion sizes are generous and the food is to die for, plenty of meat and seafood options. The wine list showcases some lovely local wines but still offering international wines and our reasonably priced. If you are interested in whiskey make sure to ask David for a recommendation he knows his stuff. When you walk through the door the white linen tablecloths may feel you are undressed but the service is fun, real conversations but they really uphold their standards, I still felt like a queen with my chair being moved for my seating, my wine and waters being topped and the fold of the napkin when I leave the table. This is service of a hatted restaurant but with a fun and relaxed atmosphere with the most beautiful views of the blue mountains. Huge huge shout out to David who truely made our experience. Keep doing what you’re doing. Came for a meal now planning when to return with my partner for a weekend stay and the soda bread 😉. Thank you David, floor team and the chefs for an unexpected fabulous evening.

Had dinner here on a Tuesday night , service was polite yet a little slow and not very attentive to the customer. Now we ordered 2 entrees and 2 mains, My partner ordered the scallops which were on the specials menu, the scallops had a nice flavour and ok presentation, unfortunately these were under done and raw in the centre still. I ordered the Duck carpaccio trying to be adventurous lol and I must say I will keep the adventures on the walking trails and not at the dinner table. Mains Crispy pork belly - look this was tasty and had a nice apple cider jus to add to a bit yet for the price elsewhere is better, you could tell the pork was boiled and then finished of under the salamander to try and make a crispy pork crackle. Dukka crusted chicken - this was on the special menu, very under whelming and lacking what would of made it nice is a red wine jus would of helped it a little, and the potato were supposed to be a duck fat kilpher I did not taste the duck fat. Overall it was a place to try for the night unfortunately not a place I would return to.

My friend, my partner and I ate at this restaurant last night. From the moment we sat down the service was terrible honestly we should have left!! We asked for a window table and when we arrived was sat no where near the window staff extremely inattentive ordering a glass of wine took 10 mins told the waiter Timothy about our food allergies being nuts and he responded with his food allergies then when the food came out it had nuts on it we asked the waiter to take a photo and he rudely responded with yea when I come back which took him 5 mins the food was almost cold trying to order more drinks we had to call out to the waiter to get him over after we placed our order he responded with yep or didn’t even respond just walked off then finally when we went to leave they told us they only take card which didn’t suit so he had to get the manager Scott over and he said we had to give the money to the reception they made such a big deal I don’t know why they wouldn’t tell us that before we ate in the end we had to walk with them to the reception they handed the reception staff the money and we left. Carrots were ridiculously spicy beef tenderloin was nice Chicken was ok Octopus was ok Asparagus was ok DONT DINE HERE!! Go to Echoes much better...
