A Terrible Dining Experience at Blue Mountain My wife and I went there for lunch and chose an indoor table by the window. While waiting for our food, a short Asian waitress with long hair approached us and asked us to give up our table because another customer requested it. As tourists, we didn't think much of it at the time and reluctantly moved to a narrow table in the corridor near the restroom as arranged by the waitress. It was only then that we realized how appalling this service was. Can customers in Australia just demand to take over tables that others are already seated at? This was quite shocking and disappointing. During our meal, we asked for a bottle of drinking water. The same waitress, with a displeased look, told us to get it ourselves from the counter. Although she eventually brought the water to us, for which we were grateful, she still maintained that any requests for drinking water or condiments should be picked up by ourselves at the counter. Her attitude was poor, which was very unfortunate. I noticed that other waitress could bring bottled water to other customers, but we had to get it ourselves and also give up our table.Is that because I am Asian look ? This kind of service was extremely disappointing.

We arrived at the café around 8:30 am on a Sunday, and wow, it was already packed! We managed to snag the last table for two, right in front of the counter. Luckily, as other diners left, we shifted to a more comfortable spot on the side. Diners kept streaming in, and those arriving later were either directed to outdoor seating or opted for takeaway. I decided to add asparagus and sautéed spinach to my eggs on toast because, well, I needed a little fiber boost. The menu listed "Asparagus, Sautéed Spinach AUD 6," which I (wrongly) interpreted as both for AUD 6. Turns out, they were priced individually at AUD 6 each, which I only realized when I saw the bill! Funny enough, my meal ended up costing more than his Bacon & Eggs – the only difference? He got bacon, and I got a pricey plate of greens! That said, I really enjoyed the asparagus and sautéed spinach, both served warm. Personally, I would’ve preferred them boiled, but that’s just my taste. The scrambled eggs had a bit of a milk flavor, which isn’t my favorite, but they were okay. The sourdough, smeared with butter, was a guilty pleasure – crispy and rich. Also, note the 10% weekend surcharge and the extra credit card fee.

A cosy little cafe with authentic homemade food. The customer service was great and food was good too. The Middle East vegan had a hummus base with different vegetables and nuts. The sweet potato tasted rather bland, as if it was just boiled, I was hoping for more flavour. I found the flavour palette quite bland for this dish but for those who prefer a mild meal, this would be great. The frittata was very flavourful (except for the sweet potatoes) and overall very yummy. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the lattes (large). The chai latte was made with powder, milk was nice and hot. The matcha latte had the right flavour but it was not sweet at all. Great for those who like drinks that aren’t sweet. I had to add some sugar. The ventilation wasn’t great and the cafe became quite smokey after a while. I would say the pricing is slightly on the higher side but I do believe the ingredients used are of good quality. Overall, I would return to try out the other dishes as I was impressed with what I had today.

Pomegranate = inconsiderate, incompetent service.

Put our name on a waitlist for a table on Sunday with two of my friends, which is totally fine. Popular place! There was only one group (of three) ahead of us on this list. Then another group - an older guy, his wife and their kid - went in, put their name down, saw us waiting outside where we were supposed to, and acknowledged that they were behind us. Unfortunately, when a table made itself available, the waitress decided they should go in ahead of us, despite us waiting longer. Would’ve been fine if the kid was a toddler or something, but she wasn’t. We continued to wait, thinking another table would come up. During that time, another family showed up, also waiting for a table. After 20 minutes, one cleared at the front of the cafe - but when the waitress came out, she motioned to the family to sit down. Not the family’s fault. We pointed out what happened, but the (same) waitress made some lame excuse. Frankly, I don’t know why they bothered with a list if they weren’t going to use it. In the end, after waiting about 30 minutes, we left and found a nice...
