It was a really rude and bad service experience.
I ordered the prawn sando with other few foods, but I was served a pork sando instead. I politely told them that we ordered prawn, not pork. The all-rounder said they would check and went away, then came back after confirming with the barista or manager, insisting that we had indeed ordered pork. It was really ridiculous, but since I had no intention of eating pork, I asked them to double-check. The all-rounder then came back and said they would remake it for us.
Unfortunately, even though there were clearly no other food orders around, we had to wait an additional 25 minutes... I couldn’t understand why it took that long.
Unfortunately, I am not a difficult customer. I understand they might have been defensive because of similar customers before.
However, i was very displeased and disappointed.
Given the good location with high foot traffic, I don’t know if customer service is not being prioritized...
If you decide to work in service, I hope that momentary emotions don’t turn into attitudes that get passed on to the customers.
Please trust your customers next time if you get similar...
Read moreCame here with my friends in a group of 4 yesterday, mainly cuz the cafe opposite them was full. The design of the cafe was a bit odd, it made stuff look dirty, especially if you looked up and saw the ceiling inside. The heater outside was broken and there was only a few seats inside. The girl taking our order at the counter had a heavy Jap accent and didn't understand us well when taking our order. The food came at a reasonable speed, was good, we had the chicken katsu sandwiches, prawn chilli pasta, curry rice, Japanese rice bowl and hojicha lattes. Really good, especially the sandwiches and curry. Noticed there weren't vegetarian options though. The cafe wasn't busy at the time, and we noticed that there were 2 free workers inside chatting at the counter while another girl had to clear and move 4 tables + chairs on her own and came back and forth many times. Overall an alright experience, it is an average cafe, might come back for the...
Read moreI had a salad with tonkatsu which was ok, my family has the katsu sando and weren’t satisfied at all. The katsu was thick, over-cooked and somehow managed to also not be crispy. Quite disappointing, they didn’t finish it. Lots of other customers I noticed also didn’t finish their sandwiches. I think the menu and the venue are exciting and could really be something, the food though struggles to keep up. Coffee was good at least. I have to say something about the staff though: they were all so happy. Everyone from the kitchen staff, servers, barista…all had a smile on their faces and enjoyed working with each other. It’s something rarely seen in any workplace. I hope with this positive energy and attitude that they can turn this cafe around and make it into something better. I look forward to revisiting one day and...
