What a shame. I understand why the park was refurbished and some of the new equipment is great - however - this was one of the few parks left that kept the sense of a magical garden space for little ones. With the garden surrounding the park removed - it’s now in clear view of the skate park. Good for security - yes... but now we have the odd skateboarder jumping their boards on the mini tramps or riding scooters down the slide and soft fall. Can’t stop progress and having more natural light in the Park is great... I just feel melancholy about the space being that little less magical and protected from the bigger kids as it used to be. Glad they kept the handmade gate ... would have been wonderful to duplicate something similar for the new second entrance. Hopefully the surrounding garden grows back and perhaps we’ll see some form of the quaint hopscotch tiles return.

Read moreReally great amenity in the heart of Chatswood. I love the more recent additions of shade to the ground level stands and come here to eat my lunch or brekkie on the weekends. The gardens are well maintained and the area is safe. The walk ways have had some work done recently which has helped.
The track around the oval where some people run/walk is okay, but doesnt have space to pass people (cramped in width).

Next to the children's park is a small grassed area, skate park and cricket oval.
The park is very conveniently located near Chatswood train station and the shops. There is plenty of parking at the nearby Westfield and Mandarin Centre...
