Wonderfully tasting bowls of ramen right here in Newington! This is a lot less crowded than the main store at North Strathfield, which is great as well which gives it a really nice, homely ambience. The ramen selections are narrow but great - we've had the tsukemen and gyokai ramen which had really chewy noodles that were able to soak up all the flavour, and toppings (bamboo shoots, egg, charshu and nori seaweed) were all provided very generously. The broth was on the slightly saltier side to our liking, and moderately thick as well. Overall, the umami flavours in the soup were crazy and complemented well with the fatty pork. After finishing your tsukemen we recommending getting some dashi stock to finish off the soup so as to not let the thick broth, which is usually difficult to drink directly go to waste. They were generous enough to provide them for free as well! This will always be a memorable dining experience for us, and we will swing by more frequently.

I’ve been going to this small restaurant ever since it opened and have enjoyed watching the evolution of the Ramen produced. It had probably been about a year since my last visit and my visit the other day really blew me away. The noodles, chasu and egg have always been superb….. the flavour of the broth is what shocked me and I don’t think it can get much better than this. As you can see by the colour it is very rich, it’s the mouthfeel and the flavour that have been taken to a new level. It’s very creamy and a totally different dimension of flavour that stays true to tonkotsu ramen. For anyone that enjoys a good bowl of Tonkotsu Ramen, this is a must visit. Arrive early or you will be waiting.

This place is truly amazing! Specializing in ramen, it absolutely exceeded my expectations. I think I’ve found my go-to local ramen spot! The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right balance. The pork had a beautiful char on one side and was sliced to perfection—not too thick, not too thin. And the noodles… wow. They were perfectly cooked, with the ideal balance of bounce and chew. Honestly, this bowl of ramen could easily compete with some of my favorite spots in Sydney. The cute little store itself has such a welcoming vibe, with a cozy atmosphere and a nice touch of self-serve filtered water.

Went here with the missus as she loves Japanese ramen. We ordered the Kosuke and Yuzu ramen along with a karaage 6 piece. Total bill was about $60 for 2 people. I didn't feel the ramen was worth $19 as the serving size was tiny. You get 1 slice of meat, 1 egg, 1 seaweed flake, and a bundle of noodles. The broth was somewhat nice to drink overall but the dish itself didn't feel very satisfying. Wife said she enjoyed her Yuzu ramen so maybe that ones better than the Kosuke #32. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Karaage 6 piece. That actually was very yummy but for $19 is also kinda expensive... If you are wanting to just come here for lunch, you probably gonna end up splashing atleast...
