I ordered salmon grilled w/chips + prawn cutlets. I tasted the grilled salmon before I left to test its freshness and it was off. It smells and I tasted three times before I approached the staff, in case I was wrong.
I asked the gentleman to taste and he refused and then just went to the back to talk to his other staff to vent. I was confused because he didn’t really answer me other than saying “no” to tasting it and then left me there.
There was no offer of re-doing the salmon or asking why I think it was off. He was just quite shut down with any feedback. I am a bit confused with this service esp when dealing with food that people consume.
I came home - salted it and lemon-ed it in case I was wrong - but it is totally off. They told me they “prepared” it in the morning… then I wonder why wouldn’t they taste the salmon that they cooked for me?
Under the previous management, this place was fantastic. Chips were also not cooked to how the prev management used to cook it; but overall, chips are the best part to this experience. The prawn deep fried cutlet has weird end taste as well.
Take my review with grain of salt, maybe it’s just is a bad produce day.
But, I am not sure what I really paid for. This is quite upsetting as it was a weekend treat and my sickness food to get me energy...
Read moreNot happy. $16.99 for 6 pieces of salt and pepper calamari, chips and salad. The calamari were tiny (probably less than 100g total) and they didn't include the salad. The calamari was also mostly batter with very little actual calamari. Extremely disappointed.
Normally there's a young bloke working who is really good, but instead it was an older lady who served me.
I called them to say I didn't receive my salad but the lady said "I'll just be a second", then hung up. I shouldn't have to chase them for something I've paid for. Moreover I live 15 minutes away so its not exactly convenient to return.
The prices here are high for the quality - thats fine as usually I like the staff, but its outrageous to not receive my complete order and then have somebody...
