DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE - GLASS IN FOOD Got takeaway and started eating and bit something unbelievably hard so I spat it out thinking it was part of a bone. Then noticed unusually shiny objects floating in my food so I fished them out and turns out there were massive chunks of broken glass in my soup. Looked back at the piece I spat out earlier only to find it was also indeed glass. Never have I ever seen such big pieces of shattered glass found in food before, goes to show how little the staff care about or even look at the contents they serve. I am not usually one to post bad reviews, let alone any reviews. This is one of my few reviews and unfortunately my experience was horrible. Was offered a replacement meal, but after this experience I don't trust anything they make. Got a refund but to top it off, was missing a dollar from the amount I paid.... Overall, just horrible. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE to anyone that decides to dine here, be aware of the standards and CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU EAT. I got lucky and noticed it but the next might not. IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: You can clearly see in the container I brought back that the lid is not broken. I am not incompetent, I of course checked if it was a mistake on my end. None of the container was broken and you can see it too. Please do not make readers think that this is my fault.

This quaint restaurant has an outdoor covered seating area, an internal main section, and another small room with additional seating. The menu is quite large with soups, bun, pho, rice, and other dishes. I was a little overwhelmed for choice, so I will need to come back to try some other dishes. I ended up choosing a crispy noodle dish, and my friend got the combination vermicelli. Mine was so tasty and filling. While the pictures speak for themselves but the food was clean and good quality. My friend enjoyed his dish fresh, tasty, and filling with a variety of tasty toppings. We also had the Vietnamese pork spring rolls, which were very nice. There are plenty of tables which were mostly full when we arrived at 2pm there were a few vacant tables but it was still quite busy. The decor is interesting with plastic flowers and vines suspended from the ceiling and a painted wall of a house covered in what appears to be a wisteria. Based on my limited exposure to the menu, I would recommend this place and look forward to making a more informed view in coming visits.

My first meal in Sydney and to be honest it was just OK. Not great, not bad, just ok. We ordered 3 bowls of their beef combination pho, com rice with pork and a dry noodle with beef. The com rice with pork was okay, the pork was small portion but the plate had a few things on it and the presentation was good but the taste was just average. The dry noodle with beef wasn't great. The noodles was chewy and would of liked it to be more cooked through, and the beef was chewy and not that flavourful. The picture looked better than the actual dish. Okay, now the pho. Hmm, coming from Melbourne where I grew up eating the pho in footscray, I have to say this was quite different from what I grew up eating. First and last impression of the soup, all I could describe was it was "sweet", very sweet. I couldn't taste the broth properly. The sweetness was overpowering everything. Not all bad, the portion size for regular was acceptable. Overall, probably won't come back but if you haven't tried then go for it

Visited and enjoyed their food here and but today…I found hair in my pho.

Told the female staff and when I went to pay, the male staff said they’d give me a 10% discount. Like SORRY? 10%? Would you want to pay for something if you found hair in your pho? I JUST FOUND HAIR IN MY PHO. Be more responsible. Mistake or not, it’s hygiene issues. I ended up telling them that I will not pay for the pho which had hair in it. But Comon 10% discount after finding hair? shocking.

I was nice to have paid for the other pho/food….

Won’t be coming back or recommending anyone. The situation was handled poorly

UPDATE: the owner of this store edited their response (can upload screenshot). They spoke very customer focused about the situation and then edited the response to what it is now. Just own up to it. Youre embarrassing yourself.

To be precise about the situation, I found hair and called the staff and they offered a new bowl. Correct. However, I did not finish it nor did I say I finished it. So where are you getting this false info? Why would you want to eat another bowl after finding hair?

The problem is that when I walked over to the staff, the male and female staff were pushing each other so they don’t need to handle me (check your cctv). That was disrespectful and then he continued to offer a 10% discount as if this was a promotion. I refused the discount and said I won’t pay for the one bowl but paid the rest which I deeply regret reflecting on the behaviour of your staff and current response.

Then the owner originally responded to this nicely asking me to email (and didn’t even leave an email.) and offered a refund which I requested a full because it was gross and my friend got traumatised (note: she had the same menu) but they have not even responded to the email. If you don’t want to handle it properly don’t respond at all. That itself is rude. Clearly, the staff learn from the owner.

Also, the owner previously said the staff was new. I’ve been a regular here for years and the staff has been around.

As a local, I’m shocked at both the boss and the staff at how they handled the situation.

I usually take my grandparents, parents and friends. Over 30 people here. Never again. Quality is one thing (which you eventually failed with poor hygiene) however, what stood out just as much was the unprofessional attitude of the staff and...

We visited this restaurant last weekend for quick lunch and had mixed feeling from the experience. The place ambience is OK, the place is clean and quite spacious plus air conditioned to help in hot, humid days.

Their menu is quite big and you will find most Vietnamese staples in it. The prices are reasonable and average (not great, but not bad value either). We tried their pho dac biet and it tasted quite good with nice beefy soup. However, it did not have beef tendon and only beef slices and tripes plus meatballs like in the other Vietnamese pho places. Their sugar-cane prawns with rice roll wraps were also good. Their drink offering are also quite good. We ordered their sam bo long and lychee smoothies.

The one big let-down from this place is their floor staff service level which was not consistent and needed big improvement. They brought us menu, tap water for drink and the pho condiments quite quickly when we arrived and ordered our dishes. However, the staff did not bring the usual sauce that should accompany the sugar-cane prawn rolls. When we remind her later, she just recognized that she forgot to bring it to our table. We also asked her to bring us the "satay sauce" that can be nice extra condiment to enjoy beef pho soup and she forgot to bring it to our table after agreeing to do so. We had to remind this request again to her colleague and got the sauce on our table. Later on, we had to remind the staff again about our order of drinks which they also forgot to prepare and deliver to us until we reminded them. I cannot imagine what will happen in busy times since it was not really busy when we had our lunch.

We'd like to visit this place again to try their other dishes but feel a bit discouraged by the...

Awful experience. Treated rudely. Asked politely for for a menu at the counter, ignored by 3 people standing there. Asked again, however they were talking in another language and continued to ignore me. Finally I found a menu and sat down. After 10min walked up and order was taken finally, although with reluctance. They took the order without looking at me, and pointed to where I should pay.Eventually, few side dishes were placed on the table abruptly, again with no explanation or politeness. Pho was delicious. I couldnt finish it and asked politely for a takeaway container and paid for the meal. Person serving, rolled their eyes and acted put out at the request. Finally another server passed a container and took my card for payment. I packed the remaining meal, got up, looked up to say thankyou to a staff cleaning the table, when another lady shouted out across to pay 50c for a takeaway container, which they hadnt mentioned before. I had eaten at this place before, with no extra charge for a takeaway container. I explained that to the lady, to explain I didnt know and paid the extra cost. Again she rolled her eyes and said all restaurant charge extra for takeaway containers, after a sit down meal. I paid for the container, told her to keep the change and left disappointed. Whilst the food was tasty, the rudeness of the staff and the shouting over a container, like I was putting them out and overall treatment, means not worth supporting this business, with my money. Plenty other polite business to support in...
