After reading so many positive reviews. Thought it may be a good cafe to try tge coffee. The set up of the register is ridiculous. The experience in ordering and waiting was the most awkward experience I've had at a cafe. I was with my husband, what i thought was a line. 2 people infront. The lady in front was talking to the barista. The female staff member comes over to me and asked if we were okay. I said take away coffee. She said oh just to the register. And pointed in a direction. Implying i needed to bypass those in front to order. As i started to walk past those other people. I asked whether they were in line or waiting. They were in the line! I don't like being humiliated and the walk of shame to the end of the existing line. Those in the line had dined in and was paying their bill.
Best cafes have distinctive areas for take aways to those who are dining in. The main thing that stood out, was the milk was out. It was a hot summer's day. I was in the line for awhile. No coffees were being made at that point. After ordering, what was probably only 8 minutes felt like a lifetime. There was just nowhere to stand. Went outside and a group of people were leaving the cafe who thought it was wise to block the footpath. I saw an elderly man getting cranky as he couldn't pass through. I took the initiative to make a comment about common courtesy to the group of people. I moved myself back inside to the side, then a person who was super loud on her phone thought it was okay to yell on her phone right next to me. Then i moved towards the machine to take refuge in standing in a spot to wait for a coffee.
I may of missed parts of the situation. But it was the most uncomfortable situation I've been in for coffee. I am sure the set up is not whs compliant. Too many chairs and tables. Mostly empty. If it looked busy, i would've avoided going in. It's the set up that was terrible. The moment our coffees were ready, i was so thankful to just GET OUT. The coffees were not that good to have needed to go through that inconvenience.
Staff really need to be more attentive and direct their customers. At least keep the space in front of the machine clear. No tables. It would be completely rude for me to stand and wait next to diners whilst...
Read morePlenty of parking as there’s a council carpark situated around the corner. Close to public transport, train station & off the princes highway. Easily accessible & hard to miss.
It is more comfortable for groups four or couples not so much for bigger families with toddlers or infants as there is limited space to park a pram & I don’t think there are any high chairs. Nevertheless the staff will always accommodate & squeeze you right in.
Small establishment, can get quit busy on weekends but with quick & attentive staff there is a high turn over of tables. Which reduces the wait time for a table. The staff however acknowledge you & keep you posted of wait time etc.
Authentic Lebanese Food with a modern twist, coffee & ambiance is the best you’ll experience.
I particularly liked the 4 Mixed cheese + zataar ka’ak (oregano & bagels 🥯 ) freshly made daily.
Everything on the menu looks & sounds good, everything we ordered tasted Devine.

Spices blended into lightly leavened and unleavened doughs, sharp cheeses with tart flavours of green herbs, tomatoes and olives, complimented by aromatic teas and spliffy coffees by Reformatory, mix well with the buzz of the Café that seemingly doubles down as a community hub, certainly a local favourite.
