Lone Star Rib House & Brews Rouse Hill — Restaurant in Sydney

We had dinner there on Friday night (12 Feb 2021). First impression of the place was good, busy, food smelt nice, music was pretty loud. We then ordered our drinks and meals, the waitress pretty much had no idea what's on the menu as she couldn't answer most of our question. The drinks were bought over by a different waitress, you can tell she's not confident by the way she's holding that tray with the 4 drinks, she spilled most of it on it. She then pretty much threw the drinks onto the uneven surfaced table and it spilled even more onto the sticky table and doesn't even apologises or help wipe it down.

Our meals finally arrives, my husband ordered the porterhouse steak with roasted potatoes, bbq sauce on the side and the grilled corn with parmesan cheese. The tiny corn came ungrilled and no parmesan and they forgot the sauce so we told the waitress about it and to make sure we don't get charged for the corn. I ordered the signature ribs with mashed potatoes. The meals were cold, like it was left sitting in the kitchen for awhile. The roasted potatoes were half cooked. The only good thing about it all was the sauce on the ribs, it was tasty. I bet it's even better if it was served hot.

Right after we got our meals, the kids needed to use the bathroom before they ate. The waitress that took our order came over and asked how the meals were, I had to tell her, we literally just received our meals. You can tell it was untouched. You think she'll come back and check on things, nope. The next time she came back was to clear the table, then she asked how was everything. Told her the meals were cold, she said nothing got the plates and left.

Safe to say we won't be going back anytime soon. Not until they have things under control and work...

We have been wanting to go to LSRH for sometime now but every time we previously tried it was fully booked. Not sure if they have had a change if management but we go in quite easily this time but probably won't go back again. All I can say good about the place was that it was very clean and presented well. As for the welcome and the initial person that served us I can only say it lacked customer service & no very hospitable. My wife and I ordered drinks from the menu provided and neither one of our drinks were available (why have them on the menu then). My wife asked for a mocktail only to be told they are not doing them and later we hear another table order and recieve a mocktail. Food was average quality, kids chicken nuggets were half the size of one's you would ordinarily get anywhere esle but what really annoyed us was our deserts came out cold (we ordered the apple crumble and choc lava cake) and there was still some of the plastic wrapper on my choc lava cake. I didn't expect the cake to be make fresh in house but the least that could have been done was to check that all of the packaging was removed before serving. I raised this at checkout and the staff only could say "oh really & will let management know". I asked to speak to the manager but he was walking around looking a little lost. Very poor hospitality. It would have been nice to have the deserts complimented but I still had to pay the full fee. For what we paid we get so much of a better experience and value for money from Outback Steakhouse (at least the kids are occupied with colouring in...

The last time we went to Lonestar was over a decade ago in Blacktown. Now that its here in Rouse Hill, we'll be back for more! Thank Ray and Shavia for giving us a great dinner! There were only 4 of us but the food came out so hot and fresh...

We ordered: Amarillo fries, Smokey Bbq Ribs and chips with slaw, Regular Nachos (decent size for 1), Rump steak 250gm cooked to perfection with roast potatoes, garlic prawns and salad, Buffalo chicken burger with chips.

The pros: Presentation was great Good serving sizes Fast service for a sunday night Staff was polite and attentive Food tasted sooo good especially the steak, ribs and hot crunchy chips

The cons: Ribs needed a little more cooking so that it could fall off the bone easier but it tasted so good nonetheless that its the only thing we could pick on It was a quiet night so we would have expected a great night, (they delivered on that) we'll see how they go on a busy night and update our review

Not a bad way to spend under $160 including drinks 4 mains, 1 entree.. we couldnt eat dessert coz we were stuffed.

Can't wait to go back!! The place has only been under this management since Feb this year so we'll keep everyone posted. Keep up the good work team!
