Honest Feedback; I’ll start this off by saying that when Meat & Fire is GOOD, it’s very very good, but when it’s BAD, it’s awful. I order from Meat & Fire once almost once a week and have been doing so for a few months now. If I look back at my Uber Eats history, I’ve ordered from Meat & Fire 26 times since August, so I really hope management reads this review and understands it’s coming from a good & honest place. On several occasions I’ve placed an order at 10:30am (when they open) and within 10 minutes, my order has been cancelled. I never receive a phone call from the restaurant to tell me that my order was cancelled, and the Uber Eats app doesn’t alert me either. I’ve had to call and ask why it was cancelled, and I’ve been told “the chicken merryland is sold out” or “we don’t have any brisket right now, it’s sold out”. Most recently, I ordered at 1:30pm and my order was cancelled 15 minutes later (and I only know this because I checked the app to see if it had been picked up yet, and it was marked as cancelled). I called and was told there was no brisket, and to try again at 3:30pm. PLEASE just remove the food option from your Uber menu when it is sold out. The amount of times I’ve placed an order and walked away from my computer for 30 minutes or an hour, just to come back and see that my order was actually cancelled. Anyway, I ordered a Brisket Box today at 10:30am and when it arrived at 11am the brisket was stiff/hard/dry. I know what Meat & Fire’s fresh brisket tastes like, because I’ve had it before - this is clearly day old. It must have been left over from last night, and even though it tastes nice enough, I did pay $31 for this box (plus $8 delivery) and the edges of the meat are hard, and it’s not juicy at all. I thought that ordering at 10:30am would mean I’d get fresh meat, not yesterdays leftovers. I won’t stop ordering from them because of the several bad experiences I’ve had, but I will just say it’s really 50/50 with this place. When it’s good, it’s great, but the meal I’m eating right now is...
Read moreTried it for the first time tonight with the company of a girlfriend and we were not only greeted like long lost friends by Mason at the order window but also treated to some melt in the mouth, delicious food, great hospitality and a very inviting environment.
The pork belly was 5 star quality, cooked to perfection and was a beautiful cut of meat - not to fatty - not to tough. Sides were chilli garlic potatoes (YUM!), BBQ fries and slaw in both serves. Serving sizes are generous, well presented and fresh. A real homestyle feel to the meal but with a 5 star restaurants taste.
The means with a drink were around $20.00 each, however, are well worth it for the size of each serving and compared to other take away outlets around them, are most definitely the better value choice.
Seating is a little limited for the available space of the venue but is very comfortable, laid back and music as entertainment but good volumes for easy conversations between people. Heaters are on and the staff do move them for you to keep you warm because it is chilly atm during winter.
The venue was spotless, both in public and food areas and the staff never faulted in using proper utensils and food handling procedures while we were there.
The best part of the experience is the staff! My personal interactions with Mason and Te tonight, we're absolutely wonderful, funny, uplifting and really added to the overall enjoyment of the meal and coffee afterwards.
This is a must visit for anyone in the area and well worth a revisit!! I will most definitely be back...
Read moreI’m never going back to this restaurant again. I order food from here almost every weekend. My boyfriend and I have been loyal customers for quite a while. However, the owner seems to forget that sometimes the customer is also the Uber driver picking up deliveries for the restaurant. This is the second time I’ve gone there as an Uber driver and have been treated poorly. The owner is impatient and arrogant. There’s no point in making good food if you don’t know how to treat people with respect. You’ve lost two customers, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

As I mentioned, this isn’t the first time I’ve been to this restaurant as an Uber Eats driver, and I really don’t like the owner’s attitude. So, if that’s the case, did he treat me badly only this time just because I parked in the wrong spot?
Regarding the order, yes — I did check it. In fact, I even confirmed the customer’s name, which was clearly written on the bag. As for the QR code paper being loose, maybe you should ask whoever packed the order. That’s not my responsibility.
Another thing — you need to understand that not everyone living in Australia speaks fluent English. I could barely understand what that rude man was saying. He even snatched the paper from my hand just to throw it away. That was completely ridiculous.
In other words, it was a terrible experience. I’m never going back to that restaurant, and I’ll make sure to tell my friends not to order from there either. This was a terrible second experience — you’ve just lost...
