Honest Feedback; Iāll start this off by saying that when Meat & Fire is GOOD, itās very very good, but when itās BAD, itās awful. I order from Meat & Fire once almost once a week and have been doing so for a few months now. If I look back at my Uber Eats history, Iāve ordered from Meat & Fire 26 times since August, so I really hope management reads this review and understands itās coming from a good & honest place. On several occasions Iāve placed an order at 10:30am (when they open) and within 10 minutes, my order has been cancelled. I never receive a phone call from the restaurant to tell me that my order was cancelled, and the Uber Eats app doesnāt alert me either. Iāve had to call and ask why it was cancelled, and Iāve been told āthe chicken merryland is sold outā or āwe donāt have any brisket right now, itās sold outā. Most recently, I ordered at 1:30pm and my order was cancelled 15 minutes later (and I only know this because I checked the app to see if it had been picked up yet, and it was marked as cancelled). I called and was told there was no brisket, and to try again at 3:30pm. PLEASE just remove the food option from your Uber menu when it is sold out. The amount of times Iāve placed an order and walked away from my computer for 30 minutes or an hour, just to come back and see that my order was actually cancelled. Anyway, I ordered a Brisket Box today at 10:30am and when it arrived at 11am the brisket was stiff/hard/dry. I know what Meat & Fireās fresh brisket tastes like, because Iāve had it before - this is clearly day old. It must have been left over from last night, and even though it tastes nice enough, I did pay $31 for this box (plus $8 delivery) and the edges of the meat are hard, and itās not juicy at all. I thought that ordering at 10:30am would mean Iād get fresh meat, not yesterdays leftovers. I wonāt stop ordering from them because of the several bad experiences Iāve had, but I will just say itās really 50/50 with this place. When itās good, itās great, but the meal Iām eating right now is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTried it for the first time tonight with the company of a girlfriend and we were not only greeted like long lost friends by Mason at the order window but also treated to some melt in the mouth, delicious food, great hospitality and a very inviting environment.
The pork belly was 5 star quality, cooked to perfection and was a beautiful cut of meat - not to fatty - not to tough. Sides were chilli garlic potatoes (YUM!), BBQ fries and slaw in both serves. Serving sizes are generous, well presented and fresh. A real homestyle feel to the meal but with a 5 star restaurants taste.
The means with a drink were around $20.00 each, however, are well worth it for the size of each serving and compared to other take away outlets around them, are most definitely the better value choice.
Seating is a little limited for the available space of the venue but is very comfortable, laid back and music as entertainment but good volumes for easy conversations between people. Heaters are on and the staff do move them for you to keep you warm because it is chilly atm during winter.
The venue was spotless, both in public and food areas and the staff never faulted in using proper utensils and food handling procedures while we were there.
The best part of the experience is the staff! My personal interactions with Mason and Te tonight, we're absolutely wonderful, funny, uplifting and really added to the overall enjoyment of the meal and coffee afterwards.
This is a must visit for anyone in the area and well worth a revisit!! I will most definitely be back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām never going back to this restaurant again. I order food from here almost every weekend. My boyfriend and I have been loyal customers for quite a while. However, the owner seems to forget that sometimes the customer is also the Uber driver picking up deliveries for the restaurant. This is the second time Iāve gone there as an Uber driver and have been treated poorly. The owner is impatient and arrogant. Thereās no point in making good food if you donāt know how to treat people with respect. Youāve lost two customers, and I definitely wouldnāt recommend this place to anyone.

As I mentioned, this isnāt the first time Iāve been to this restaurant as an Uber Eats driver, and I really donāt like the ownerās attitude. So, if thatās the case, did he treat me badly only this time just because I parked in the wrong spot?
Regarding the order, yes ā I did check it. In fact, I even confirmed the customerās name, which was clearly written on the bag. As for the QR code paper being loose, maybe you should ask whoever packed the order. Thatās not my responsibility.
Another thing ā you need to understand that not everyone living in Australia speaks fluent English. I could barely understand what that rude man was saying. He even snatched the paper from my hand just to throw it away. That was completely ridiculous.
In other words, it was a terrible experience. Iām never going back to that restaurant, and Iāll make sure to tell my friends not to order from there either. This was a terrible second experience ā youāve just lost...
