Shahi Dining has the best Indian food! I recently dined there with my family and we found all the dishes we tried to be so full of authentic flavours. The meats were melt in your mouth delicious and the wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. My favourite dishes were the non-veg platter for two (the lamb cutlets on this platter are amazing) and the Saag Lamb curry which was recommended to us by the waitress. The Samundari Prawn Malabar was another delicious favourite with a generous number of succulent prawns in a coconut and spice curry. I also highly recommend ordering a margarita or if you prefer a non alcoholic drink then the lychee soda. They were both so refreshing! Even though this restaurant is quite a drive away from us we will definitely be revisiting we enjoyed the food and experience so much!
I recently revisited Shahi Dining and this experience was just as good as my previous visit. This time we ordered the Amritsari Fish, Chicken Tikka and our favourite samosa for entrée, followed by the Fish Malabar, Lamb Shank Korma and Butter Chicken for mains. The lamb shank was melt in the mouth, fall off the bone tender and delicious with a delectable sauce full of amazing spices. The Fish Malabar was the standout dish for me with the generous serving of fish simmered perfectly in coconut milk and delicate Indian spices. So delicious! And the Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken are firm favourites too. The mango frappe and lychee soda were wonderfully refreshing and perfect on a hot Summer day's visit. Shahi Dining remains my favourite Indian restaurant in Sydney thanks to its authentic flavours, friendly and proficient wait staff and amazing food. I love the spacious layout of the tables too. If you are wanting delicious authentic Indian food I highly recommend a drive out to Shahi Dining...
Read moreWorst experience i have ever had at a restaurant. Booked their function room for a lunch event and had paid for 35 people as a minimum spend but they couldn’t even provide enough food for 25 people. We found a hair on top the first dish & the managers excuse was “sorry our staff have long hair”. We were meant to have 4 mains but were only given 3. I had to ask manager again to which he replied “No, we agreed to 3 only” i then had to ask him to refer to the booking where all the information, details and menu that was confirmed the night before were written down, only for him to say “oh sorry” by the time the 4th dish came out everyone was leaving. Nothing was restocked and we had to keep asking. Very disappointed & regret booking this place . Had a chat with the owner that evening who was apologetic & told him about our terrible experience. Later on Manager called & offered a free dine in to compensate & he said he will call the following weekend to confirm the booking time. We were not willing to dine in to relive the terrible experience but manager didn’t bother to call back anyway. If you are thinking about booking this place please do yourself a favour, look somewhere else. Have to give them one star which they...
Read moreTried this place for the first time thinking the double price compare to other Indian restaurants would probably mean something to look forward to but not all was as i imagined.
The lamb dish and chicken dish was nice but nothing especial same as the $13-14 take out I have had many times before NOT WORTH $29 lamb rogan josh and $25 for chicken Murga same small portion as any other take out place except these both were way more runny and not thick souced like I had from other restaurants.
The plain Naan wow $4.50 as apose to $2.50 from Riverstone indian place it was smaller and burnt front and back here I'm thinking for nearly double the price it must be a little bigger and not burnt but I couldn't be more wrong.
Wish I took some pics of the bread but didnt, Was very annoyed, I was happy to pay $90 plus for 3 small currys and 4 bread but the way it turned out I would not waste money here again way way over priced for what they give you.
I guess it's back to Harris Park for something decent and well priced.
*Messaging below means you have missed the point all together, was happy to pay more but expected better for the double price but it was No better at all, sorry have to give honest opinion people need...
