If I could give no stars, I would. WORST EXPERIENCE, worst customer service EVER! It was my first time ordering from this place so I decided to use menulog as the restaurant didn’t close till 11pm and at the time I ordered it was almost 10pm. I proceeded to call the restaurant to make sure they were open and able to take orders through menulog. The gentleman I spoke to reassured me it was okay and to continue my order. So I finished my order online and paid by card! My sister ordered her own on Uber a little after I had placed mine. 45mins later my order had not arrived but my sisters did. The lovely Uber man that delivered the food said he told them that since it was the same address he would deliver both the orders, the restaurant wouldn’t approve of that and did not give him my order that I PAID FOR then told him they had canceled my order. (Without my knowledge) I called them back and they said they had no menulog drivers at that time so I told the rude Man I was dealing with that he could of sent it with the Uber driver that had just left my house, then he told me that they had no ingredients for the cold drinks I ordered so they took it upon themselves to cancel my whole order and didn’t offer me a refund until I called menulog customer service. Mind you that conversation took place over several mins since the man kept shutting the phone in my face thinking I would go away, but I kept calling back asking why they would do that knowing they close at 11pm and now it had hit 11pm and couldn’t make my order. He was making all sorts of ridiculous excuses as to why my order got canceled which is beyond me, like it was coming out of his paycheck. Absolutely disgusting!!!!! I would never ever bother ordering from them and their rude staff...
Read moreSometimes the hot chocolate is great and sometimes it's really bad. Today was really bad. I asked for extra hot, they confirmed it and entered it into their register but it came out luke warm and when I got to the bottom of the cup, there was heaps of globby guey chocolate that had not been melted properly.
Another problem is that I'm not sure if the Asian staff speak or understand enough enough English to properly assist. You get smiles in response to what you say but you can't be sure they understood.
Also, what's with a chocolate cafe that gives you a loyalty card and stamps it every time you buy a hot chocolate and, when you finally qualify for your free beverage, they tell you that you only get a free coffee which is half the price of a large hot chocolate so I still have to pay half. It's a chocolate cafe and I've only ever bought hot chocolates here and I only qualify for a free coffee, not a free hot chocolate?!
I'm throwing that loyalty card in the bin and making my own hot chocolates at home with their chocolate buttons...
Read moreOliver brown is a place I come to on a regular occurrence with my mates and family. On this night I have to say that I am very disappointed in the service and the coffees that were made. It started when we ordered like we normally do and received our table number. We sat down and it took a while but we received our coffees and hot chocolates in take away cups. Which was no problem the first time so we sent them back just to receive only one in a mug and the rest was in takeaway cups again. The lady that gave us the coffees which was also the barista on the night noticed that she made them in takeaway cups again and showed her I was not pleased but seem to not care. Unfortunately they were not to the same standard that we normally get and this is completely understandable as this can happen.
