LOB Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

Been a while since we last stepped on to this place and it's very clear there has been a change on ownership since the last time we were here. They call themselves LOB now.

The old owners used to make everything fresh - we loved the keto cakes they had and other pastries they sold. It seems the similar standard was not really kept with the new owners.

The food was subpar - the corn fritters were not really 'fritters' more of a jumbled, fried mess of corn kernels and the salmon poke bowl was let say very depressing to look at - little bits here and there of salmon, edamame etc. The bacon and egg roll wasn't too great also.

The service was OK but we had to follow up with server for one of the meals because everyone finished their meal already and the dish has yet to arrive.

It's shame it's different now but I would suggest reviewing some our the menu offerings especially the fritters and the poke bowl. There are other places who probably sell this at the same price but far better quality.

Not sure if we would come back - maybe if there was a change...

Absolutely amazing service, and great value for money, you won’t find better service anywhere else!

The lovely ladies were super attentive and sweet made me want to keep coming back. after the first experience I had there I decided to take my parents for my dads 81st birthday to have some breakfast, both my parents absolutely loved it and were left very satisfied and smitten with the service!

The food was great you can tell everything is made with love and care!

The omelette is to die for and the eggs Benedict was superb, eggs were cooked to absolute perfection!

If you have a sweet tooth make sure to have the Oreo brownies they are amazing they sell out fast!

I ordered 2 Dan’s rolls on July 13th. I asked for only one to have a well-done egg, but both came out overcooked, along with the bacon. The buns on both rolls were also burned, which completely ruined the taste.

Even worse, I requested two eggs on one roll only, and I received just one egg also ordered 1 harsh brown and didn’t get — not what I paid for at all and nothing like their advertised photo.

Went back the other day and report it. The waitress said she would report it back to the manager and apologise it, but I didn’t feel satisfied and I asked her - aren’t you taking my details? So I gave her my phone number and till today am waiting for them to provide me a response.

Overall, the quality was poor, and the order was completely wrong. Very disappointing, especially for something as simple as a bacon...
