Exceptional Experience at Lusso Bistro – A Hidden Gem in Blacktown
My recent visit to Lusso Bistro Blacktown exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear this wasn’t your average suburban restaurant — it’s a beautifully designed, thoughtfully run space that brings a genuine touch of modern Italian dining to Western Sydney.
Ambience & Atmosphere The setting was stunning — warm lighting, comfortable seating, and tasteful décor that balances chic modern elements with cozy Italian charm. Whether you’re there for a casual dinner, date night, or a special family gathering, the space makes you feel relaxed and welcome. You’d never guess this gem is located inside Workers Blacktown — it feels like a destination in its own right.
There’s also just the right amount of background music — enough to set a mood but not so loud that it gets in the way of conversation. It felt like every detail had been considered.
Service That Goes Above and Beyond The service was, in a word, flawless. From the moment we were greeted at the door to the final goodbye, the staff were professional, attentive, and warm without being overbearing. Water glasses were always topped up, plates were cleared quickly, and our waiter had excellent knowledge of the menu — offering great recommendations without being pushy.
They truly made us feel like valued guests, not just customers. One of our friends had dietary restrictions and the staff handled it gracefully, suggesting alternatives and ensuring every dish came out just right.
Food — Authentic, Fresh, and Full of Heart Now, the star of the show: the food. Every dish we ordered was not only beautifully presented but cooked to perfection. You could taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite.
We started with the zucchini flowers, which were light, crispy, and stuffed with the perfect amount of creamy ricotta. Honestly, I’d come back just for those. The calamari was tender and not greasy at all — seasoned perfectly and served with a delicious aioli.
For mains, we tried the stone-baked Margherita pizza, a slow-cooked lamb ragu pappardelle, and the black angus rib eye steak. All were excellent — but the standout for me was the pasta. Rich, flavourful, and clearly made fresh in-house, it was easily one of the best Italian dishes I’ve had in Sydney.
We couldn’t resist dessert — and we’re so glad we didn’t. The tiramisu was a dreamy balance of creamy mascarpone and espresso-soaked sponge, and the pistachio panna cotta was delicate, smooth, and beautifully plated. Just divine.
Drinks & Wine List Their wine list is also impressive — a thoughtful mix of local and imported Italian options. We enjoyed a crisp Pinot Grigio and a bold Barbera, both of which paired beautifully with the food. The cocktail menu looked great too — definitely something I’ll explore more on my next visit.
Value for Money For the quality of food, service, and overall experience, the pricing is extremely reasonable. You’re not just paying for a meal — you’re paying for a well-rounded, high-quality dining experience that rivals much more expensive restaurants in the city.
Final Thoughts It’s rare to find a restaurant that gets every single aspect right — but Lusso Bistro absolutely delivers. The ambiance, the staff, the food, the attention to detail… it’s all there. I left feeling not just satisfied, but genuinely impressed. This is the kind of place you tell your friends about — and bring them along next time.

This new Italian restaurant is located inside the workers club next to their AMAZING tapas restaurant and it is so delicious and authentic.
Firstly, the service here was top tier, George and Mervyn were so friendly and up for a chat and happy to recommend their favourite dishes. Good service is everything and really made our experience.
Next – the location. As soon as you walk into the club you head upstairs and see the Lusso restaurants, these are newly renovated and very modern and beautiful. It’s so good being inside a club too because you can enjoy drinks or activities before and after your feast.
Now – for the food. WOW, just wow. I brought my parents to have dinner with me because they were having post-Italy blues and they were both raving about every dish, and how it truly tasted like the food they were just eating overseas. I couldn’t agree more. Italian is always good but great Italian just hits differently. They also have a great drinks list with the most delicious cocktails. I had a Coconut Margarita & Lychee Martini and they both slapped.
We ate:
Entrees Pork Pinchos served with a spicy chimmichuri salsa Zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta, parmesan cheese & spinach in a light tempura batter Garlic prawns fresh prawns sauteed with garlic & white wine, finished in a napolitana sauce, served with foccacia Mushroom arancini portobello mushroom, arborio rice, grana padano, napolitana sauce
Mains Spaghetti Gamberi | marinated garlic prawns, chilli and basil in a house made pink sauce, Tortellini Boscaiola | braised beef tortellini with maple bacon, mushroom and shallots in a garlic cream sauce Gnocchi Pesto | home-made gnocchi with a pesto and cream sauce Diavola Pizza| san marzano tomato, mozzarella, spicy salami, caramelised onion, black olives The Aussie Favourite Pizza | bbq sauce, mozzarella, maple glazed bacon, pepperoni and ham Cauliflower and walnut salad | roasted cauliflower & walnut, rocket, onion, balsamic vinegar
Dessert Nutella Pizza with fresh strawberries & ice cream
I can’t fault a thing about my experience here, it is such a gem to Blacktown. They’re open for lunch & dinner 7 days a week so you can go any time, they’re such a good spot to host a special occasion too!

Read moreALL YOU CAN EAT EXPERIENCE: Bad
I wanted to clarify my experience at the all you can eat, I will say that the amount of food is didgusting it reminded me when I worked at Rooty Hill RSL when they used to have the same thing in the staff room down the bottom for all staff to eat.
The food was unfortunately cheap and I mean cheap as in penne, spaghetti, pizza, salad, chicken wings. Now I say cheap because if you buy that from woolies/coles it’s cheap and they add fancy sauce and a bit of bacon and mushroom and that’s what they have. The beef lasagna had little to no beef inside of it. The chocolate mouse was cream with sprinkles of chocolate. The panna cotta was green which was nice but not cold. The expensive things like fish and chicken were either over cooked or cold to touch. I will say though they did restock some of the food. There was little choice of pizzas and when they took out the cheese and pepparoni there wasn’t much left but it was nice wood/stone pizza.
The price was the worst part paying $35 for all you can eat + $14.50 for a jug of soft drink. Now I’ll say that is a lot of money and I feel like the food that they make is left over during the week and they’d rather sell all those in 2 days than keep the food there and rot. I asked if I can get custom pizza thinking it was part of the “all you can eat experience”. Overall food quality was ok and the price was horrible.
I will say the staff seemed good and quick at removing the plates. I will mention that we had 8 people who booked and looked leave because this is not a traditional all you can eat place. I wouldn’t recommend coming here as the food is just cheap stuff. If it had prawns, variety of other food then it would be worth it but from what I experienced the food wasn’t as expected.
There was a bit of misleading with the food as mentioned with the mousse and the beef lasagna not having much meat in it.
I had a few Schnittys and they were cold and dry, sign it was left there for...
