Probably the worst takeaway I've ever had followed by a rude manager! Ordered the following on Friday night Special fried rice Combination chow mein BBQ Pork Spring Rolls Crispy Fried Chicken Delivery time was over an hour and a half wait so I picked it up instead as I live in Cronulla. When I got home which is not even 10 mins away, the BBQ Pork was tough and overcooked, the combination chow mein was bland and literally tasted of nothing, the spring rolls were mushy, the crispy skin chicken hardly had any skin and the chicken itself was dry and overcooked. Tried to call and complain but couldn't get through as line was busy so sent an email instead. Received a phone call on the Sunday from the owner who was far from apologetic! When I discussed with him the problem with the food, he said they have to over cook the pork as its takeaway, said the chow mein is cooked that way for Australians!? If you want it with more flavour you have to ask for it he said! Also couldn't guarantee the spring rolls as by the time you get them home they are not crispy and usually are soft. The chicken he said shouldn't be dry, I said I know but it was this time but he wouldn't accept it. As for the rest of the food he said it is all cooked the same as the restaurant. He persistently talked over the top of me as I was trying to explain to him, which was really rude and frustrating and wouldn't let me finish my sentence. Then said I should have brought the food back on Friday if I want happy with it. I explained I have a 6 month old baby and a wife who's poorly which is the reason we ordered the takeaway in the first place and it was tipping down with rain on Friday. Bringing it back that night was out of the question. He said how can I help you, what do you want me to do, I asked for half my money back to which he said I was being unreasonable. At the moment paying $70 for a below average takeaway is unreasonable. After persistently talking over the top of me I told him to stop talking over me. He then said I had crossed the bottom line and he could not help me. I said fine, if you're not going to meet me half way, I'll just leave you a bad review to which he turned round and said I'm black mailing him!!!?? As a manager of a restaurant I suggest you listen to your customers and accept that maybe once in a while your food isn't always up to scratch which in this case it wasn't and if if so be humble and apologetic instead of rude and argumentative. An apology would have sufficed but I didn't even get that. If you are considering a decent takeaway don't eat here, save your money and eat elsewhere. Absolutely disgraceful customer service and even worse bland soggy tasteless food. Never eating here again! Especially as the manager was so rude.

Best Noodle Inn in Cronulla beats this place hands down on taste, quality and value for money. I'll be taking my business...

We went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration and 3 of my family members have a gluten allergy. We called before hand to make sure we would be catered for and told that yes, it was no problem. Again when we arrived, I spoke to the lady at the desk who assured me there were many items that were gluten free and she showed me that the letters GF were written after the items that were suitable. I ordered one of those items, a satay. Right before it was brought to the table, one of the waiters told me that he couldn't guarantee that it was gluten free. I showed him that it said it was on the menu and he said that just means they don't add wheat flour to the sauce but that the soy sauce itself contains gluten as they don't have the GF one. He then offered me stir fry veg with salt! By this time the meal was delivered to the table and we were charged for it. I ordered singapore noodles with no egg. He told me that would be GF. When it arrived, it was full of egg....

After 25+ years of calling Man Lin Wah the best Chinese I’ve had and bench marking their short soup and satay chicken against any others in Australia, im sad to say that tonight was a different story.

Having moved to Melbourne 8 years ago and eating here last time around 4-5 years ago when the food was as good as always, tonight being in Sydney I rushed to order my favorite Chinese food.

I don’t know if there has been a change in ownership or chefs, but the food that was always consistently 10/10 was barely a 1/10 tonight.

Satay chicken was bland with very little flavor and nowhere near the standard I recall. The short soup of which no other place in years could match, was also very far away from the usual standard.

Very disappointing and I’d be interested you know if it’s new owners and chefs as it was so far off the...

We went here on a Saturday night at opening time 5.30p.m, during the Chinese new year of the rat. The room was nicely decorated with lanterns and rats. Strangely, 95% of the packed full restaurant were anglo saxon. We ordered the combo chow mein, fried rice, salt and pepper whitebait, and beef strips. Bill came to $57.00. Pros ; food tasted good, street parking nearby, reasonably priced. Decore was o.k. Cons ; the all-male waiters were polite, but not very welcoming. We had trouble getting our bill, probably due to the very busy night. Overall we were happy with our visit, and would definitely come back, especially when its only 10 mins from home.

my favourite chinese restaurant in the shire!! :3 its our go to restaurant for family gatherings like birthdays and other celebrations since they accomodate for all group sizes (up to 20!) and also just a great place for casual lunch with immediate family. service is always warm and attentive, the food.. the foooood… its so good. hot, fresh and perfectly seasoned/spiced. my fams personal faves are the S/P squid and whitebait, honey pepper chicken, steamed fish and the special fried rice. the restaurant itself is also clean and well lit, and never too loud :) <3

We had dinner here the other night, and it wasn't bad. The food is your typical Westernised Chinese dishes like sweet and sour pork, Mongolian lamb, beef and black bean sauce etc. We tried a dish called rusty nails which is also known as rainbow beef or crispy peking beef strips. The flavours were good, but it wasn't crispy unfortunately. The combination chow mein was ok. Generous portion sizes and ok service.
