I don’t usually leave reviews but this place definitely deserves one. Master Biryani (student biryani rebranded) is a pathetic excuse for a restaurant. On arrival, you’re greeted by very confusing signage as few walls have still got the art and decor from the previous tenant(supplement shop). This should’ve been the 1st flag. The person taking the order at the counter was unsure of the menu. This should’ve been the 2nd red flag. Decided to order a chicken biryani, chicken haleem and chicken sheesh. The menu looked very familiar but could not pin point it at that stage. Once we sat down, all was clear, since the TV on the all had a loop of Student Biryani playing. This place (as much as they claim in their reviews that they aren’t) is Student Biryani rebranded. The 1st thing to arrive was the haleem with the sheesh. The sheesh( supposed to be 4 pieces) arrived with 3 pieces and the person mentioned that the 4th piece was on the way!!!! Shocked is an understatement. Coming to the actual sheesh, it literally felt like Chewing on saw dust and sand straight from the Sahara. Then arrives the much anticipated biryani, which, surprise surprise, was an utter failure and waste of money. The chicken looked like it had been at least a few days old and maybe reused from an old tandoori chicken.
Overall, the word “Disappointed” is an understatement and was an utter waste of money. Would not recommend this place to anyone who has actual taste-buds and who know what biryani and other dishes should actually taste like.
PS- if you’re still reading, the 4th sheesh did make an appearance and definitely ticked the box of belonging buried deep in the Desert, along with its other dry...
Read moreGood Luck!! I waited in my car to see how many people entered and purchased food. Not too many. The restaurant was initially called Student Biryani, then suddenly changed to Master Biryani, alarm bells. Still, lets give it a go. Looks clean on approach. Close up the windows and glass were dirty , wiped in a circular motion with an old rag probably. The person taking orders at the counter, was a bit cocky and hard to understand, however managed to take the order. Ordered 2 sets of Chicken Biryani for my wife and son. Takeaway, luckily. I decided not to eat there as my 'food instincts', got the better of me. I Ordered elese where outside. Came home, and plated the Chicken Biryani, and OMG. It was plain rice, cooked with very very dry old chicken. There is no taste of Biryani or any spice used to cook Biryani. My son, who never complains about food took a bite and stopped eating. My wife, looked in dismay and stopped eating after her first bite. $32 dollars down the drain. Horrendous food, shouldn't be allowed to sell such food. Dry,dry, dry. Tasteless and utter garbage. So, please give this place a go. If you love to be frustrated and have a lot of money to waste, check out this place. Zero stars for food. 4 stars Clean tables and clean seats. 4 stars, fancy drinks fridge. 1...
Read moreI ordered chicken biryani and a kid's meal. The biryani arrived after 15 minutes, but the kids' meal was still not I was curious and looked around the kitchen then noticed the chef playing on his mobile phone. I asked the receptionist about my order, and it turned out the chef had forgotten about the nuggets and it burnt in fryer. He took the nuggets out of the fryer with his bare hands(without gloves), showed them to the receptionist, and placed them on the table without in box. He then put the same nuggets in the box along with burnt chips. There was no regards for food safety and hygiene. How do we trust this restaurant again??
I don't recommend this restaurant at all and won't be returning. Employees like this can seriously harm the restaurant's reputation. I mentioned this to the receptionist and I leave the kids meal for them and told my kids I will bought it from Macca's. Waste my...
