In this world, there is nothing that can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and the waiting time in this maccas.
As a local, I've never felt so invisible in my life. The past 10 close visits, they have been exactly the same. Just terrible customer service.
Beginning with the kiosk machines. The eftpos always fails to respond when you are about to pay for your order. As an alternative option ( you have to order and pay at the front counter). It is possible that you are going to wait for approximately more than half an hour, nothing less. Even if you try to grab their attention, it’s like your just a ghost to them.
Waiting time is ridiculous, even if it's deadly quiet ( no car in drive thru, no Uber, just you). your food won't come out to your expected time. It'll take another 30-60 minutes. Front area crew seems to disappear all the time. I’ve seen customers walk behind the counter and out and they still won’t notice a thing. Might as well make the store a self serviced restaurant if you ask me.
Front area crew is just a bunch of fairies. It does not take an order 30+ minutes to be handed out. 5-10 mins is regardless to how small/big the order is, or how busy it gets. Back in my employed days with maccas, I wish they were like that than now. I’ve heard “sorry for the wait” in that place more than covid-19 cases now. How shocking.
It is a 70/30 chance that something in your order will be missing. It will be your biggest regret to come back to the counter, because you'll be there for an hour without being seen. Managers don't tend to see what's happening on the front house. $18 an hour wasted in the drain for a role that doesn’t seem to be ran down properly.
The head office in this area don't seem to be wanting this place to stand at all. This maccas is ‘not’ meeting the requirements for “best customer service”. Currently a huge failure, coming from a local. Instead of building new franchisees, how about reconsidering more highly experienced quality staff and start to focus on customer satisfaction?
How poor do you need to be to stop customers coming in? I know a few people who could operate this place better than it is now. Biggest time waster in life, prefer to watch paint dry than wait here, absolute joke.
It’s a horrible business to lose local customers. How disappointing... Biggest let down in Rooty Hill/...
Read moreEven though the place was busy, I believe a 20 minute wait for an order is far too long. Especially when I paid $50 for lunch (2 x happy meals and 2 medium meals + fillet of fish). I could see other customers becoming frustrated with the lack of service. There was no staff to take orders, we had to use the self service screen, we also opted for table service. Our food finally arrived, in bags like a takeaway order. I then had to go to the counter to get serviettes. I had to wait for a staff member to acknowledge me (another wait). What is it with McDonald's and serviettes? every bloody time, I have to ask for serviettes. I usually go to the Emerton McDonald's drive through for coffee and breakfast and they never put serviettes in the bag. I know Emerton McDonald's has the unique privilege of being the worst McDonald's in Australia (confirmed), but my experience at Eastern Creek Quarter McDonald's makes me think that there is not a between the worst and the rest. Also, the only bin I could find was overflowing and the swing door on it is so heavy that it pushed most of the rubbish back out. I was going to write this review whilst I was in the restaurant but the place is a phone Blackspot, at least for Telstra. We only went there because my two boys (3 & 5) really wanted happy meals for lunch, after we all got haircuts. What was intended to be a positive childhood experience for them, and also my wife and I turned out to be very ordinary. I don't think my boys will have that childhood association that McDonald's relies on. The atmosphere of the dinning area is very bleak. Very much like a prison meal room (from what I've seen on TV). There are better options available, cleaner, cheaper, friendlier, healthier. It's sad to see such a wonderful franchise...
Read moreTo think I gave this same restaurant a one-star review 9 months ago and today I'm back and it's another one-star again. We ate-in this time, waited 20 + minutes and when asked about our meals was told we have no staff. Great, not the consumers issue but a management issue that shouldn’t be taken out on customers. There's a lot to complain about but what is the use when the company no longer cares about the customers or their staff.
When arriving at the drive-thru bay there was no greeting or request to take an order for 3 to 4 minutes so I called out asking if anyone was available. A response was given to hold on a sec. I waited another minute or so and then I was asked to give my order. I asked which McFlurries are currently available and was advised only Oreo and then advised that actually there’s no ice-cream available. I responded by expressing my dissatisfaction at having to wait so long to only be told what I wanted was not available. The response given by the McDonald’s staff was ‘all good then’ and I was cut off for her to move on to take the next order. When driving through I observed that the staff member I interacted with was a Manager; one would think a Manager would have better communication skills when interacting with customers and in particular a customer that was made to wait who then left without making a purchase. 28/04/23pm...
