A few weeks ago, on a Saturday night, I visited this restaurant and faced significant service delays. It took exactly 34 minutes to receive my meal, compounded by a malfunctioning ticket machine, leaving me without an order number. Despite multiple attempts to communicate this to the male supervisor, the issue was not effectively addressed. The practice of verbally announcing orders, particularly on a busy night, was ineffective. The situation worsened when I informed the supervisor I didn’t have a number and he simply walked away.
The male supervisor's manner was both unhelpful and confrontational. Instead of resolving the ticket machine issue, he argued about my ability to hear the meal being called out, which wasn’t announced nearly as loudly as the order numbers I did not have. This approach was deeply disappointing and detracted from the overall customer experience.
Additionally, the quality of the service continued to decline. The meal, after being left out for 15 minutes during this ordeal, was cold and inedible. I ended up discarding it. This entire experience has significantly marred my perception of the restaurant. There is an urgent need for improvements in management and customer service, especially in managing technical issues and service delays.
The lack of concern from the manager, who argued instead of attempting to assist or even identify my order, was the final straw. Regrettably, I have decided not to give any further business this or any other McDonald's in the future due to this experience.
If you can't maintain the machines and have good customer service to help with issues. Why don't you actually staff the customer service again instead of making customers work for you doing the orders. Clearly you can't help when. There is an issue or maybe train your management better to not be aggressive when someone brings up an issue...
Read moreWell, a verifiable disappointment indeed. This review has been accrued over 3 sittings, each time failing in every way possible. A sunny Saturday afternoon in November. A large Chocolate Sundae was the order. The order was placed. I waited in line. I repeat, I waited in line. Minutes turned in to tens of minutes. I visibly watched the sun come closer to the horizon. After 17 minutes, I obtained my chocolate sundae. To their credit, it was enjoyable. But the timing made me question the bounds of the term ‘fast food’. It is 7:40am on a Saturday morning. I order a Mighty McMuffin, which I am led to believe is the mightiest of McMuffins. I wait. I observe the paradox of the five staff members, bumbling around, doing no discernible action. I also observe the growing number of customers accruing, restless, impatient. I watch as the timer on the menu moves from single digits to double digits. I finally receive my McMuffin. The level of whelms is below what I was expecting. The time is Friday the 13th of December, and never has the stigma attached to Friday the 13th been so pronounced. I order an ‘El Maco’ in celebration of McDonald’s long-existing Mexican routes. I receive my order. I receive a bun with two meat pattys. No more. There is no hint of sauce. My throat, parched from the experience, knows not where to go. I scramble for anything possibly wetter than solid meat and bread. Falling to the ground in search of moisture, flavour, or literally anything other than bread or meat, I reach out and type this review in my...
Read moreIt's a little unrealistic to have overly high expectations of any one specific McDonald's over another, because let's face it, they all pretty much make the same thing the same way with very little variation. McDonald's is more a factory production line than a creative space for aspiring chefs and cooks (in my humble opinion). Based on this alone even if you don't like McDonald's for whatever the reason I believe it should still be rated on it's merit for what it does and how well it does it, regardless of your personal bias towards the chain. That's why I will almost always start with three stars as a rating before even walking through the doors. It will either do what a McDonald's does with nothing outstanding but nothing to complain about and keep it's there stars, or it will go up or down, depending on my experience from that point onwards. Now, this isn't the worst McDonald's so it's not going to get one star, but the reason for losing a star comes down to the continual forgetting of items in my order on too many occasions to be a one off accident. McDonald's as a business has made the entire process easier than cracking an egg so to say it shouldn't be rocket science to ensure orders are filled properly consistently isn't too much to ask for. If it weren't for the fact this is a twenty four hour operating location then I may have gone for the one star after all but hey, open all hours is a convenience that's worth...
