This feedback is for The night manager Adrian, who worked during the shift on 13th or April, around 1am. At West Ryde Macdonalds.
Everything that we ordered was correct except they made a mistake with the order and gave us a doubble mcspicy without any mcspicy patties(just buns with mayo and lettuce).
When we called back in 5 minutes to confirm this, the manager Adrian said that this hasn't been paid for. We were more than happy to pay for the missing patties, given that the buns get replaced with hot buns. The manager said it was our fault because we didn't check the screen order(mind you my partner cannot see writing without glasses at night). Then manager straight up said "PEOPLE LIKE YOU" ALWAYS TRY TO GET FREE FOOD AND IF YOU COME BACK WE WONT SERVE YOU."
We went back, paid for an entire burger, "because people like us" just want to eat a doubble mcspsicy burger at night -_-
We also wanted to tip the staff, (but they dont take tips apparently). So we donated $50 to your charity instead
My partner being an ex manager for 4 years at Mcdonalds and for myself, A call center manager, I understand how sometimes there could be unreasonable customers and customers who actually take advantage of businesses, but I have NEVER had any of my staff ever tell a customer ANYTHING like "People like you" try to get free food" with or without having evidence of the customer trying to take advantage.
It is a shame for Mcdonalds West Ryde, that a manager can lack such basic decency to know how to speak to people. I do not even expect customer service at mcdonalds, I just want my food!
I also expect that macdonalds must have a procedure in place that accomodates for people ordering with a...
Read moreWe have been here multiple times and have not had any significant issues in the past( wrong orders, delays etc happen) .I am not someone to give out reviews just like that. Today was a different day. Around 4:15 PM, my kids used points to order food and chose the option of pick up at drive thru. The Mcdonalds was really empty with just a few customers inside and there were hardly any cars in the drive thru as well. (Cctv can confirm this ) Since I had already parked my car, I asked them to go inside and bring the food. They went inside and were told that the order is getting ready. After sometime, my son was asked if he is waiting for his order and he said "yes". After 15 minutes, I went inside to check and found there was some confusion. When I told them we opted for drive thru but since we are here can we get our order?. We were told there are hardly any cars in the drive thru and we should go there. I was a bit taken aback to hear the lack of empathy or customer service for that matter. In fact,I found this behaviour patronising. I said again that we have already waited and my son was never told to go to the drive thru and now you still want us to go to the drive thru? They answered in affirmative. We went to the drive thru and the girl couldn't find our order. They looked at our phone to confirm again. After further delay, they handed the order to us. They girl who handed the order was nice and apologised as well but this post relates to the behaviour of the employees inside. Not that I am expecting much here but it would be nice if empathy and better customer service are given...
Read moreSHAME McDonalds - West Ryde; I ordered & paid for a Toastie (ham & cheese) + Coffee on Saturday 1st April 2023 @ 08:03 (no this not a joke). While waiting at the counter the supervisor approached me in front of other customers where she informed me that I had to leave because they did not allow pets in their restaurants. I politely pointed out the "Service Dog" vest and the attached Identification tag's on both the the vest and collar (see pic below) and stated he is an Assistance/Service Animal and under the Disability Anti-Discrimination Act Section 9 you are not allowed to refuse entry. The supervisor repeated the same refusal by changing the references to be 'dog' or 'pet'. I showed the wallet Identification for my dog and was still told to leave. It was only when another customer stated that I was right and they could not refuse entry that the manager turned to look at him then again at me, with no apology or care she turned around and walked off. I posted the experience on Facebook and eventually a comment was left by "McDonalds" to contact them via email which I did. They (McDonalds) haven't responded after more than 24 hours. After sending the email/giving a feedback report. Its difficult enough coping with PTSD, but to have to argue your rights to have your assistance dog with you is disgusting. I would have thought that after the Facebook comment McDonalds would be keen to resolve the situation, I was wrong. Not only was their actions unlawful but exhibited complacency as well...
