AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS This has got to be worst KBBQ All you can experience in Sydney, better yet in possibly all of Australia. Firstly, we walked past the restaurant with only a few tables filled on a Saturday night. We didn’t take that as a warning and decided to give it a try, little did we know it was a big mistake. We paid first and it was around $52ea.
I walked to the buffet section and saw that most of the food items seemed cold, untouched and not replenished. It looked trashy and it was and looked like an absolute joke. However, gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was a BBQ restaurant so we focused on the meat and it was ok, with not too many options and some bowls of meat were empty.
Halfway through our meal, we decided to get some more meat to grill, only to see that around 50% of the meat station was filled. We waited… and waited and as our dining time was about to expire, the meat station was still not filled. The staff was useless, we tried to get their attention multiple times to change our charred and blackened grill and they seemed blind and just stuck to their task of cleaning tables that weren’t going to be filled anyways (restaurant was only around 20% full on a Saturday night). I Hope it remains this way so people can save their money as I’m sure there are better establishments around (maccas across the road). It also seemed other tables were also annoyed at the fact that the meat station wasn’t being restocked as they also questioned the staff.
Please, save your money and do not dine at this trashy restaurant that provides an “all you can eat experience” because it certainly does not provide that experience, now I understand why this...
Read moreUPDATED. Very disappointed. I am a disability support worker and attended this restaurant with my client. I had no intention to eat due to severe food intolerance but the staff was happy to turn us away. We made a special trip through the city to try this place. We were told that we were not welcome to eat there if we didn’t fork out the $45 for me for the buffet I was not able to touch. After much back and fourth, I am sitting on the lounge by the door while my friends and sitting a metre away which is to far for conversation and rather humiliating. I’m surprised they’re letting me drink a beer! We stayed because my client is disabled and finding another venue was not and option. You did not deserve our business. What was most disgusting was the behaviour of the owner and staff confronting my disabled client and her guests demanding why they got a bad review. My mistake for writing the review while I was made to sit in the reception area alone. They were confrontational, very aggressive and rude. I do have photo’s to show this. The owner knows this as he asked me to not take photo’s. Once they realised they messed up I was ‘allowed’ to sit at the table with my client and her guests. An on-premises licence allows the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises when another product or service - including food, entertainment and accommodation - is sold, supplied, or provided to customers. Hence, you providing me with alcohol and no other services you have breached your liquor licence. I’m only pointing this out not because you broke the law but more so, you humiliated me and caused me great distress. You also caused significant distress to all involved. You need...
Read moreWe walked into this KBBQ buffet and were surprised to see that it was nearly empty. For a KBBQ buffet, that was already a bit of a red flag. Still, we gave it a go. The variety of meats and side dishes was okay. To be fair, some were enjoyable, but most of the meats just weren’t as tender and tasty as what we’ve had at other Korean BBQ places. We even tried different cooking methods, including quick grilling to keep them medium-rare, but it didn’t help much. The texture was just too tough to really enjoy.
We ended up staying for the full dining time, trying to get our money’s worth at $46 per person plus card surcharge. While we made the most of it, the quality just didn’t justify the price.
What really soured the experience, though, was what happened at the end. As we were leaving, a staff member, possibly the manager or the owner, stopped us and checked our bag. And they did it too close from another group of customers who could clearly see and hear everything. It was awkward and frankly completely unnecessary. I mean… What are you, JB Hi-Fi? The idea that we’d want to sneak out any of that chewy meat was honestly baffling.
After finding nothing, we were then told that “we check bags here” as if it were standard policy, but the other groups who left before us, non-Asian, weren’t stopped or checked at all. That inconsistency didn’t sit right. That moment left us feeling unfairly treated and potentially discriminated against, and in hindsight, it might explain the noticeably low number of Asian diners in the venue.
It’s disappointing, because a little more respect would’ve gone a long way. Between the underwhelming food and that uncomfortable treatment, we won’t...
