Sizzling Pizza & Kebab — Restaurant in Sydney

This place is about 15 minutes from where I live, but I felt like trying somewhere new so decided to drive there. It was Saturday evening and I got a parking outside. The place looks quite decent and I was warmly greeted. I collected my order and left.

When I got back home I opened my pizza box and was very impressed with what I saw. You can see the photo. I love Hawaiian pizza and often get it. There was heaps of pineapple, cheese and ham. Some other places really skimp out on toppings and you are forced to pay extra (and I don’t always get the extra topping I pay for). So I was impressed.

Now the taste test. Well here is where for me things fell apart. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed this pizza and I easily rated it 5 stars, but personally I think that the sauce was lacking. Either there was not enough sauce on the base to taste it, or it was bland so I couldn’t taste it. The sauce is vital for a great pizza. Here I think all of the components were really great except for the sauce. It’s just my opinion. Hawaiian pizza usually doesn’t really have a great strength of flavour so I find that it is especially necessary to have a great tasting sauce to help bring out the overall taste.

The garlic bread was nothing special. It was your typical bread in foil kind of thing. It was quite soft, personally I prefer it when there is a slight crispiness to the crust. Also the garlic butter didn’t get to the edges leaving some bites that were mostly bread. My wife commented that it was dry because of this.

Anyway that’s it. I will definitely return to try some other things. If I got Hawaiian again I’d ask for...

We ordered gluten free pizzas for delivery last night. Our estimated delivery time was between 7:25pm to 7:45pm. Our pizzas showed up around 8pm which was fine, its raining and the shop is obviously busy. What isn't fine is the food that showed up. It was not our order and definitely not gluten free so we called the store. The staff member didn't say much aside from I will call the driver and hanging up. After 10 minutes of no word we called back to be told they would need to remake it but could not give us a delivery time as they only had one driver working and offered no apology. We get it's busy and you are short drivers. What we don't get is how this was handled. At least call us back to let us know. Perhaps if you have dietary requirements this can be marked on the box to make it safer for customers and easier for drivers. Also worth a mention that the pizza that did show up was not even cooked properly so even if we could have eaten it we would have had to finish cooking it ourselves. We have been ordering from here for years but we will not be returning in the future. Please treat your customers with a bit more courtesy and take allergies more seriously or someone will end up...

This business has changed names to "Sizzling Pizzas and Kebabs". I think they are still in the midst of renovation. The menu has diversified and now includes burgers, kebabs and ribs. The staff members remain nice, but the food? No longer the same.

The pizza menu has changed and our once favourite Super supreme is no longer available.

We opted for the normal supreme and found that the toppings lacking in comparison. The pizza base was also different.

Previously, we've driven a long way to get pizzas here. But we will no longer do so.
