I was travelling with my husband in a Semi trailer (very clearly sign written) We were on our return journey, an overnighter. It had already been a very long 24hrs working keeping our country moving! (how do you receive deliveries maccas? Via semi trailers driven by real people?) At 3.30am we pulled up beside Batemans Bay mcdonald's the truck clearly visible from multiple angles of the store. I had looked up the restaurant to make sure it would be open as it had been a very long time between restroom breaks. We needed coffee, breakfast and most importantly a ladies room. As we approached the door we read a sign stating the dining area would be closed between hours I cannot recall but approximately 1am-5am from memory. We we're refused entry. Not just refused but ignored for a long time as I knocked to try and get the two young men's attention. I clearly gestured begging to use a rest room, I pointed to the Truck I begged again, we can't stop anywhere else in the truck I say, by now I'm in tears in dyer need of a toilet. They shook their heads and turned away. I tried to talk to them at the drive thru window. We were ignored. I tried phone the store to explain my desperation they ignored our call. I am a lady. A mother a human. I was left to wet myself. It was 3 degrees. I had to travel for another 30 minutes in my disgusting dirty clothes. No dignity left. If I could give zero stars, I would. I visited Thornleigh McDonald's on Saturday night, and I was absolutely horrified by the state of the place. It was beyond filthy—food scraps, crumpled napkins, and trash were littered everywhere, both in the customer area and behind the counter where food is prepared. The floor in the kitchen looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for hours, with fries and wrappers scattered all over. The counters were covered in spills, discarded receipts, and half-empty drinks.
Not only is this completely unacceptable for any restaurant, but it also raises serious health and safety concerns. Under the NSW Food Act 2003, food businesses are legally required to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. This location is clearly failing to meet those basic requirements. Additionally, Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws demand a safe working environment for staff, and having such a messy, greasy, and littered floor is a clear slip hazard.
Management should be ashamed of allowing a restaurant to get this bad. If health inspectors walked in, I wouldn’t be surprised if they shut the place down on the spot. If this is how they maintain the front and kitchen, I can only imagine the state of the areas customers don’t see.

Read moreI am a regular customer here and always come here with my friends and have never had an issue up until today. Me and my friend decided to order off the app tonight at 12am and I went through drive thru and asked if it was ok to pick up 2 orders. They said yes and I told them our 2 codes. The guy who served us throughout this ordeal did not clarify the code so I assumed he got the right one. We went to the cash window and I noticed that our happy meal was not on the screen. I tried double checking with the guy about the meal but he hastily ordered us to go to the next window. When our orders came after a 10 minute wait we did not receive the happy meal. I asked why and showed him our order and he said there was nothing he could do about it. However he could clearly see that we paid for it. I asked if he could clarify the code to make sure we got the right number but refused. He then told us if we wanted to sort this out we have to drive all the way around again, so we did. He then gave us the same answer saying there’s nothing he can do because it was not on his screen. We eventually talked to some of the other girls on shift and they were more than happy to accommodate us as they could see that we paid for it. I don’t understand why it was so hard for this guy to do the same. Overall I am not happy with this experience and will not be coming back again.
