Before I go into detail, I will say it appears management is putting the effort in and maybe the issues below are being resolved slowly. My comments may not be valid in the coming months.
Road noise, OMG! Staring at the ceiling till close to midnight, then got woken up before 4:40am. Was louder than playing an action movie on high volume, in your room. And then during a break in traffic you could hear the pedestrian crossing beep, beep, beep. Like water dripping, 8-{
The male shared bathroom also needs some investment put in and a stricter cleaning regime. Same hair on the shower floor and used ear buds 2 days in a row.
If I owned this place I would have; Fixed the windows so they at the very least shut tight and dampened the noise. Looked for a Gov grant to get sound proofing. Doesn't have to be the fancy double glazing. Just something to dampen it, so that guests aren't in the traffic. No word of a lie, it's a similar sound level as standing at a pedestrian crossing on Pennant hills Rd (before North Conex) Redo the bathroom so cleaning is more efficient. Spend a little extra on the cleaning staff, pay peanuts and get monkeys analogy is evident.
It's not all bad though, there is a fair amount of effort gone into the rooms and clean sheets, and the pub downstairs had good pub grub and cold beer. Value for money was fairly good, but I just can't get over how loud it is.

Read moreThis is your typical suburban pub. Very friendly, helpful staff. The bistro is adequate and reasonably priced. There is a little bottle shop at the side with a good selection of beers, but not so good with wine (even the bartender admitted this). If you’re into gambling, there’s a good poker machine room out the back and a well-appointed TAB in a special room.. Also KENO. Two pool tables. A big screen for watching sports. |Not a busy pub; from Sunday to Thursday, I didn’t see more than five people in the bar at any one time, so there seems to be little or no trouble here.||There are some decent looking restaurants in the area, McDonald’s just down the road. 15 minute walk to Auburn train station. Otherwise… well, the place is on Parramatta Road (what more can you say?).||ROOMS: I’m here on business and this place is close to my appointments. The rooms are basic, but clean and tidy. Shared bathroom/toilets. I saw one other guest upstairs all week; otherwise, I feel alone in the place. There’s a good little kitchen/laundry right next to my room. I do wish they’d supply some tissues in the rooms and maybe a jug for water. There is a bar fridge in the room. The air conditioning is excellent.||Can recommend for those who aren’t fussy and can tolerate some small...
