Visited Miryang Gukbap in Eastwood and tried the Ppyeo Haejang-guk (pork bone soup), beef gukbap, and pork bone broth (dwaeji gomtang). The portions were generous, and the side dishes were fresh and well-balanced — definitely a satisfying and authentic Korean meal. However, a couple of points to note: • The meat in both the Pork backbone soup(Ppyeo Haejang-guk) and Pork broth(Dwaeji Gomtang) was a bit overboiled, making it somewhat tough to chew. • The beef broth(gukbap), made with wagyu, had a rich flavor, but as the broth cooled, the greasiness became a bit heavy on the palate. The biggest downside was the wait — with only a few tables inside, we had to stand outside for quite a while. It’s probably best to avoid peak lunch hours if you’re planning a visit. Overall, it’s a solid spot for traditional Korean soups, especially on a chilly day. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait — and go hungry!

Here’s a polished, positive review for Miryang Gukbap in Eastwood, NSW — feel free to tweak to add your own details: --- I had a fantastic meal at Miryang Gukbap in Eastwood and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Korean flavours. The food was superb — every dish was clearly made with care, from the rich, comforting gukbap broth to the vibrant, well-seasoned side dishes. Portions were generous, which made the meal even more satisfying. Service stood out too: the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, perfect for hanging out with friends or settling in for a hearty meal. Overall, Miryang Gukbap delivers on both taste and experience. I’ll definitely be back for more

My first time here and the restaurant is small so more catered for 2/4 people, anymore is a little challenging. I was drawn by the gukbap - it did not disappoint and was spot on!! I had the thick (white) soup with pork, offal and blood sausage. Everything was tender and soup was rich and tasty. I also had the clear pork meat soup - meat was tender and soup was clean, nourishing and really nice. 5 star for both pork soups! We also had the beef soup - very generous serving with 3 big bones and lots of meat on it. Soup was clear and tasty but meat could have been a little more tender. The prawn pancake was generous and big but a little soggy (similar to another person’s review) I look forward to returning for the pork soups!

I think this is the best gukbap place in Sydney. The portions are generous, the broth is clean and flavorful, and the meat is tender and delicious. Usually, squid kimchi at other places tastes just average because they use store-bought ones, but here, even that is tasty since they season and prepare it themselves. The kkakdugi and kimchi are also excellent. Be careful with the chili peppers that come as a side dish, as they can sometimes be extremely spicy. If it’s your first time visiting, I recommend starting with the clear soup options before trying anything else. The staff are also very friendly.

It’s also great that they open early in the morning – as far as I know, it’s the second earliest-opening Korean restaurant in Sydney. Oh, and the rice is unlimited refills....
