Visited here for Lunch on 9th Dec 2024 and ordered the Non Veg Thali which was priced at $18.90
The non veg thali had only 1 non veg dish - Butter chicken …which was quite suprising. There was no Non - Veg Starter/ Kebab
The thali had 2 bows of salad - one with sliced onion (Laccha Pyaz) with pickle in it and the other bowl with sliced cucumber and carrot..which could be served in one bowl. (Just trying to make the thali look full)
There was Dal Makhani and Kadhi as well which was not at all flavourful..the dal makhani was creamy and thick but lacked seasoning and favour, the kadhi on the other hand was overly spiced with the addition of Red Chilli powder.
Indian bread served with the thali was 1 pc of naan cut into 2 , the tandoori roti in the pic is from my wife’s thali which we exchanged, it was such a poor portion size.
The Dessert was Gulab Jamun…which was just plain pathetic…the worst i I have ever eaten..it was so hard and chewy and the size was that of a marble…
When I entered the restaurant, I was given a table near the toilet, which my wife refused to sit since the restaurant was empty and it was lunch time, so we decided to go with another table, to which the server replied . “Aap bade jaldi main ho”…but we didn’t bother too much about it and went ahead with the table we wanted to sit on.
Overall the Thali is not something I would ever order again…the taste of the food was not upto the mark and the overall components of the Thali were not at all in line with a non veg thali. It’s the first time I have had Kadi Pakora in a Non veg thali.
Request the team to please look at the composition of the thali as well as the quality of the dishes being served.
Suprisingly …at the end of our meal the server came upto our table and offered us some Mango Kulfi…complementary..(not too sure why) but I guess he too understood that we were not too happy with the food.
Hope the team/ management read this and make a few changes …for the better..Happy to pay bit more for a genuine...

I've been visiting Mitran Da Dhaba @ Glassy Junction, Baulkham Hills since 2022, and unfortunately, what once felt like a promising dining experience has completely gone downhill.
In the beginning, the restaurant was fresh, the staff was energetic and welcoming, and cleanliness was well maintained. However, over time, the quality of everything, food, service, hygiene has rapidly deteriorated.
The restaurant is overcrowded with more tables and chairs than it can handle. They are crammed together, leaving barely any space to move, let alone have a private conversation. The noise levels are unbearable, making it impossible to enjoy a meal in peace.
The floors are extremely slippery, posing a safety hazard, while the tables are sticky and never properly cleaned. My arms were literally sticking to the table.
When I asked a staff member to clean my table, he dismissed it, saying it was already clean, and then just swept a dirty cloth over it.
The water glasses were filthy, covered in visible marks and stains.
The bathroom was disgusting, with urine on the floors, making it clear that hygiene is not a priority here.
The staff, who once seemed happy and welcoming, now appear tired, uninterested, and non-welcoming.
They look like they hate their job, and their uniforms are visibly dirty, which is unacceptable for a place handling food.
The food quality has declined drastically.
Dal Makhani tasted like tomato paste—nowhere close to authentic.
Kaju Paneer had no kaju at all and tasted absolutely terrible.
Kadhi Pakoda was mushy and completely unappetising.
Naan was thick, hard, and overcooked—or possibly undercooked, making it almost inedible.
We couldn’t even finish our food and left. The entire meal was a disappointment.
This place is completely mismanaged, unhygienic, and not worth a visit. I certainly won’t...
Read moreNothing exciting to write up about this place, I see many 4+ star reviews which made us give this place a try for dinner to see what the fuss is all about.
Firstly they could easily been at Wigram Street Harris Park to fit with the rest of Indian street eateries there.
Place is decorated well, in fact the greasy slippery floors keep you on your toes when walking around the restaurant.
Those fancy furniture look great but are never comfortable to dine upon, functional seating goes a long way in making the experience much better in my opinion.
Alright!, now lets get to the food, so for the total price of $131 for 4 people for 2 starters, 3 mains and breads, the quality, quantity and service is fair, the folks have a business to run here.
Aloo Tikki chaat was the highlight, then came the Daal Makhani. Seekh Kebabs were reheated in microwave therefore lacked the true tandoor effect, why do they ground the meat into a paste to make the kebab, nothing wrong with seeing the actual chunks of mince.
Palak Paneer was glazed with oil and butter which removes the ability to taste anything else like the palak or the paneer in it.
Understand the bulk of current Indian foodie trend globally is around butter, cheese and cream being served as the main ingredient instead of a support act to the main food to somehow give the consumer a premium luxury feel, well tell that to your arteries. Anyways I digress here.
So if you want to rich loaded experience to your curries and breads, you will be rewarded at this place but you are after the real authentic dhaba food that you get in north India then keep looking, I know I am.
3 Stars. No returning as I can get the same...
