I've been a regular patron of this café due to its good coffee and convenient location for medical staff. However, today's experience with a female attendant at the counter left me extremely disappointed. It was around 11:00 AM (23/4/24), and the attendant, who appeared Caucasian, was engrossed in her own activities, even drinking her own coffee, and choosing to ignore my presence. Upon entering, I attempted to make eye contact to place an order or inquire about a table, but she completely ignored me. When I finally managed to get her attention, her response was indifferent and borderline rude, with a flat tone and lack of engagement. Despite the café not being busy at the time, her demeanour made me feel unwelcome and unappreciated as a customer. This stark contrast to previous experiences has left me hesitant to return. The interior really sets this place apart. It's like stepping into old fashioned stately home. There's bent wood chairs, a fire place and some creative ways they've placed art around the place.

You can't go wrong with Campos coffee and Montgomery St Cafe does it well! Piccolo's and the mocha with almond milk was rich, creamy and delicious!

We ordered the club sandwich and the Portuguese chicken burger. The burger came as a sandwich and the chicken was moist and delicious! The club sandwich was stacked and plated well; and very tasty!

Poor customer service We have been to this shop 3 times, the coffee is good - the reason we return but the customer service is bad. You tell them what you want and they make it the way they want. Flatwhite is not what it should be :( Today the staff dropped en empty coffee cup on the floor we had to tell them 3 times before they decided to use new one. Asked for almost full cup and received flatwhite just above half full with 2cm of froth. Not happy Jan! One star for good coffee but tomorrow morning we're getting our coffees from the shop...
