Absolutely terrible experience today (19 Jan). Avoid using the machine to order to avoid unnecessary issues. The machine we used to order asked for a signature, and it cancelled the transaction with no receipt even though the payment got approved. This would have been alright if it had been settled properly, and the manager gave us some trust after we showed them the picture of the machine cancelling the transaction and approving the credit card purchase. This happened multiple times before, but at those times, they served us the food we ordered by asking us our order and checking the amount. This time, not only did the manager tell us to wait for 5 minutes for the reboot, which didn't work, we had to wait some more only for it to fail again. Making matters worse, the manager kept asking us for proof of the approved transaction when we've shown the picture below. Additionally, we showed the email from the bank, but they still didn't believe it. They told us that the transaction would bounce bank because it got cancelled when we already got emailed by the bank for the approved transaction. We like the food but definitely not coming back for this experience. We ended up waiting for more than 30 minutes, hungry (got hypoglycemic) , and got asked for more proof despite the proof we've shown.. We were appalled by the disrespectful customer service. What a huge letdown. We ended up eating in a...

Absolutely rude staff on Tuesday 22/10/24 around 1-3 PM. I understand it is very busy however the staff I spoke with on Tuesday The Asian lady, was absolutely RUDE and would shout to customers. I was ordering food as the app was not working and the staff taking order would get angry easily, shout in response, appearing to rush me. I was surprised as I have never encountered this worse customer service in any MOTTO MOTTO branch, and I am a regular customer ever since they opened in Broadway. This staff member needs to be retrained and she does not even have basic manners and customer service skills, if you get angry at customers and be extremely rude and condescending and CANNOT WORK UNDER PRESSURE, why are you in the hospitality industry?? Would be avoiding this branch of Motto Motto every time I see that she’s at the counter. No excuse to have this kind of attitude regardless of the amount of busyness or inadequate staff during service. I was pleasant and patient, but this staff needs to treat customers well, have some manners...

I was a fan of Motto Motto Marrickville and noted that they have another shop in Broadway Shopping Center so I have tried today. The dine in experience is good…until I decide to take another ramen order for dinner. I scan the bar code on table to order but no option to select dine-in or take away (which lately I realized they have another barcode for take away near the auto-order machine). I forgot to inform the staff that it is take away. So as soon as the ramen is ready for dine-in, I have asked the staff wouit be possible if I can take away the 2 ramen? The cashier is very nice but the staff standing at the kitchen not very willing to do it but finally we sorted it out. I did not check what is in the bag but when I get home and open the bag. OMG how can they put both the ramen and broth in same box???? The staff MUST know that the ramen will absorb water and it will be come very very soggy. I suppose they should put it separately. It completely destroy the flavor.. Sorry I have to rate a 2...

A major disappointment of Japanese food met by unbelievably dismissive staff. I ordered a $25 meal set of gyudon (beef stew with onion) with chips and a peach tea. This is worth about $18-20 at Oiden in the city. The Nori chips were good and I was happy at first. Opened up the gyudon I found a few small and thin slices of beef with a lot of onion and seaweed. With disbelief I sought help and was met by seemingly the in-charge person. I had to ask her to look at the bowl and see if she could help, she not only didn’t greet me or feel concerned, her attitude was dismissive and insist that the servings were packed by head chef and questioned me how could she help me !? I had to ask if they can review the servings and give me the beef for a $25 meal. She fights with me and said the the bowl was $17.95 and if I get more onion less beef there’s nothing wrong with it (aka tough luck? ) See the picture for the serving portion. The brand name is motto motto , means “more”…

Situated within the bustling Broadway shopping centre, this charming Japanese restaurant offers a delightful array of authentic Japanese-style cuisine that is sure to please any palate. Guests can conveniently place their orders using a user-friendly computer station situated beside the counter, or they may choose to order directly from the friendly staff at the counter. One of the standout desserts is the green tea matcha ice cream, which boasts a rich and creamy texture paired with the unmistakable depth of matcha flavour. For a refreshing beverage, peach tea is a perfect choice, providing a light and invigorating sip that complements any meal. Additionally, the ramen served here features a savoury broth and perfectly cooked noodles, creating a delectable experience for ramen lover.
