Terrible Experience – Unacceptable Service and Management I booked a stay for my parents at this hotel from August 19 to August 23. Since my parents were arriving early in the morning on August 19, I personally went to the hotel front desk the day before (August 18) to ask if they could check in earlier. I was told that check-in is strictly after 3pm. To accommodate this, I made an extra booking for the night of August 18 to August 19 and paid the full price. However, when I brought my parents to the hotel early morning on August 19 and presented both booking confirmations, the front desk staff informed me that because we did not “show up” the night before, they had already given away the room that I paid for! In other words, the extra night I booked was completely wasted — they took my money but did not honor the reservation. To make matters worse, the front desk staff, especially a woman named YURIS, was extremely unprofessional, rude, and unhelpful. Instead of solving the problem efficiently, she delayed the process for almost an hour before finally arranging a new room. My parents, who had just arrived from a long flight, were forced to wait tired and uncomfortable in the lobby. And unbelievably, after only two hours of rest in the new room, they were asked to move again to yet another room. This constant switching of rooms caused enormous stress and ruined their first day in the city. This entire experience was completely unacceptable — from the hotel’s failure to honor paid bookings, to the terrible service attitude, to the lack of basic respect for guests’ comfort. For the price charged, this hotel provided one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered. I strongly urge future guests to think twice before booking this property. Management should be ashamed of how they treat paying customers.

Four Points by Sheraton in Sydney offers a blend of comfort, convenience, and understated luxury. Located in the bustling Central Business District, it provides easy access to Sydney's iconic attractions such as the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Upon arrival, the hotel impresses with its sleek design and attentive staff that ensure a smooth check-in process. The rooms are tastefully decorated with modern amenities and plush bedding, offering stunning views of the cityscape or harbor. The attention to detail is evident, with complimentary Wi-Fi, ample charging ports, and a well-stocked minibar enhancing the experience. Dining options at the hotel cater to all palates, with an array of international cuisines. The breakfast buffet is particularly noteworthy, featuring a generous selection of hot and cold dishes. The rooftop bar is the perfect spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing, serving exquisite cocktails with panoramic views. The fitness center, although not extensive, is equipped with modern machines and is well-maintained. The lack of a swimming pool might be a downside for some travelers. Service at Four Points is commendable, with staff members being friendly and proactive in addressing guests' needs. The concierge is knowledgeable, offering valuable tips on getting around and making the most of the Sydney experience. In summary, Four Points by Sheraton Sydney is an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers seeking a comfortable and refined stay in the heart of the city. Despite minor limitations, the hotel stands out for its prime location, quality of service, and overall hospitality.

If I could give this hotel 0/5 stars I would. Checked in to our room which was not the room I had booked online. Hotel admitted it was their fault and that they would “upgrade” us. Disgusted to enter our said upgraded room and there was dirty washing on the chair, room smelt rotten and the only “sorry” we received was a complimentary breakfast and a free drink. Additionally, clearly the COVID-19 protocols are WHS standards and overlooked at this property. I waited almost an hour for the hotel to find me a sufficient alternative so we could actually get ready for our event. I booked a KING SUITE as there was 3 of us staying, it was open plan and suited the occasion. When asked if the sofa bed would be made up before our return from our event to accomodate the 3 of us, I was met with “sorry our housekeepers are really busy, would it be ok if we just left the linen there and you did it?”……you’re kidding right? Can’t be too busy if they are unable to service a room correctly to begin with. If you like a sad breakfast with minimal variety, substandard options and stagnant customer service, then by all means you will be in for an absolute treat. Staff member on breakfast concierge was also on her phone between seating people which was completely unprofessional. I was very specific when booking that this was for my sister’s birthday and to be met with sour customer service and a dirty room amongst other disappointment, I would absolutely NOT recommend! As per the current Marriott promotion and marketing, “delight in the unexpected”….NO DELIGHT here at all.

Stayed here in q3 2022. Location is relatively walkable to Chinatown, not that near but abt a 15-20min walk. there's a small shopping mall 1 block away with a supermarket and some eateries and best thing was Anita's gelato there. Room was fine, clean and decent size except that the door and passageway was super narrow and u can barely squeeze your way in with luggage in tow.. Writing this review because of the bad experience with the service in housekeeping. The hotel provides only 2 small bottles of water in each room. One night my partner wanted to go to the gym, he called room service to ask for some more water and headed to the gym. I waited for 15 mins and no one came by. I decided to drop by Anita's quickly to grab a gelato as housekeeping could just leave the water in the room. When I returned I didn't see any water and thought they must have forgotten. Shortly after my partner returned and sat on the couch. I asked if he had received the water yet and he said of course not as he had just returned. So i called house keeping again. Within a few mins this guy appeared at the door empty handed. Then I asked him if we could have another 2 bottles of water. He said he had given us the water earlier. I was confused and said no we didn't get any. Then he pointed into the room looking annoyed and said " I gave it to him*. Just to make sure there was no miscom, I turned my back towards the couch area which was in the corner back of the room and asked loudly if he got the water and wrongly told me he didnt. And as the door was super heavy and the passageway super narrow I was unable to hold on to the door and the door shut. After clarifying that my partner didn't receive any water I went back to the door in a matter of a few secs and the guy was gone. Unbelievably rude. No idea who he gave the water to, but it could be some supernatural beings since it was the during the hungry ghost month and he was so adamant that he did. Super shocked at the staffs attitude and how he treated us as liars despite me telling him that we did not get any water. Anyhow, I called the reception again super upset and told them that they could either check their CCTV to see if we were lying or search our room to see if we were trying to con them of those bottles of water. The reception obviously tried to diffuse the situation by explaining about how they they were abt Sustainability and only provide 2 small bottles of water a day but still will on an exceptional basis send up more water. So unfortunately not able to rate...

I was so excited to book an Australian marriot hotel after the best hotel experience of my life with the marriot brand in another country. This was so disappointing. From a 100 extra fee added as a "holding fee" only to be advised upon check in that it even existed, to be told it will be refunded immediately upon check out and now 48hr later... still waiting. Offered to pay cash? No they want 200 holding fee now! As an unexpected expense I took out of a savings account where I have now lost interest for the entire month due to this 100 withdrawal. This 100 also seemed ludicrous when the room was dirty. Mould on pillows, large brown stains attempted to be hidden by lazy housekeepers by placing on the bottom of your stack of pillows- youll only notice if you lift and check- gross feeling if you do it the morning after sleeping on it!! What looked like a large burnt in fecal stain into the carpet, missing back off a remote control batteries dying within several clicks, brown dots and splotches on the wall, shower head left at an angle from cleaning with very weak pressure , touchy card reader in elevators. there was very low attention to detail overall. The manager was reluctant to give any discount and when insisted upon relented to still higher than the current bookable rate online and insisted upon investigation of the room as if there was any question of there accountability in the matter. I don't believe I'll ever stay marriot in Australia again, this has damaged my impression of the brand overall and will definitely not go above and beyond to reward marriot with any further loyalty like I did this stay. I could have stayed 5 star in a different brand for same price, chose marriot as a loyalty choice and this was my reward. I've stayed in hostels with cleaner rooms and more professional service. There was no toilet paper in common hotel toilets not even one single square, the receptionist seemed confused when I advised them as if I was the peculiar one for wanting to practice hygiene and awkwardly thanked me for letting them know, as if I was somehow being precious or demanding to require use of toilet paper. The breakfast offering was small with machine coffee and no barista options. Save your money go to Starbucks immediately opposite it, of even mcdonalds will do you better here. Any room service will attract a laughable $6 "delivery fee" on top on their already high prices. Don't bother. Check my feedback for Phuket Merlin Beach, Thailand if you want to see how a real Marriot...

We stayed overnight after taking a domestic flight then connecting with the train from Sydney Airport to Central Station, en route home on another train. The hotel was a comfortable distance from the station on foot with roller suitcases, although I wouldn't like to have to jostle in peak-hour foot traffic. We were new to the Central Park complex so finding the hotel entrance down a lane way was not obvious but maybe we just missed a sign because we were tired. Reception was prompt and pleasant, lobby music too loud for us over 50s. We don't ordinarily head straight for a bar, but it was light and spacious and the decor was attractive. A good decision because the bar man was friendly, knowledgeable and served excellent beer and wine efficiently. We didn't catch on that we could have breakfast in the hotel, and went to a cafe Urban Jungle which had been recommended. We opted for eggs and toast with coffee for a healthy start. The plates were heavy and cold which meant the temperature of our eggs plummeted before we had managed to saw out way through the resistant sour dough toast. Disappointing for the price, but the coffee was very good. Will definitely search out breakfast at the hotel next time because the room service menu looked varied and appealing. Elevators were quick and easy to access. Plenty of room for our suitcases which was much appreciated. Our room (corner) had a brilliant view of the sunset over the city with wall-to-wall windows that wrapped around one corner as well. That worked well to make the room feel spacious too. Bathroom was fresh, clean, modern and everything worked well, including a good hair dryer. Was dreading a flooded bathroom floor from the shower, but the design managed to look open and contain most of the overspray thankfully. Bed was comfortable, pillows were good, curtains blocked out light for a great sleep - no noise from outside the room, but the mini-bar refrigerator got up a bit of a whine from time to time. Once we'd worked out what it was, it didn't disrupt our sleep. Check-out was efficient. We didn't use online check-out, and there was no queue for personal service at the desk, so all good. For a new hotel in a unique situation where accommodation is increasingly in-demand for the University of Sydney, Broadway Shopping Centre, surrounding attractions and proximity to the CBD where accommodation is considerably more expensive, it was an excellent stop-over which we would...
