Came here two weeks ago for dinner with my partner and his mum for their birthday. I was super hungry. I ordered the chicken tender meal for $20. After waiting about 40mins our food finally came out. Utterly disappointed. At first I thought perhaps I ordered a kids meal by mistake, as I was greeted with three measly pieces of chicken (not even half the size of a normal tender!). I checked my order and realised I had paid for an adult sized meal. The picture did not look anywhere near like my meal. My meal looked like cat food. I went to ask the manager if the serving size was correct. After waiting for the manager to come out she said they couldn’t get the tenders right now this is all they had. ( as a hospitality worker myself if this is all we had I would let the customer know or offer a few additional pieces due to the size difference, especially when it costs $20!!!! ) Instead she somehow guilt tripped my partner into paying ANOTHER $12 just for another serve of the not chicken tenders they had. He knew I was hungry so was just trying to get me a good meal. Disappointed as I did not want to wait another 40 minutes for more tenders to add to my already stone cold cat food nor pay $32 for a meal that should have been $20!! I said let’s just cancel them and get a refund. We have still NOT received a refund. The manager came out rolling her eyes and laughed about us to her co worker as she came over to us again. Disappointed we went back to sit and eat what we could of our meal. Mid way to my first bite of the fries the staff member snatched my plate and took away my meal without saying a word. Very rude. With the offer of a refund which To this day I have still NOT RECEIVED!! I watched her put it in the bin in front of me. Read moreA little outdated with their CoVid safety protocols like it's June 2020. Someone obviously hasn't gotten the memo on the relaxations that kicked in from 7th December - 25 customers or less at the premises, if higher, 2sqm rules apply. Rules on the front door were dated 1st December.
The preferred number of guests for a dine-in party seems to be 2 or 3, anything more and they get CoVid anxiety. Or maybe we were wrong to choose to give our business to Nando's Rouse Hill.
We were only allowed to use tables outside as a party of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids) couldn't be accommodated inside even though 4 to 5 tables were free while we waited at the door.
When asked why we couldn't use the tables inside, we were told that we could be risking a $2000 fine by CoVid Marshalls and the business could incur a $5000 fine, so best if we listened to them and wait for 2 tables outside to free up. Other option was getting take-away and take our chances in the food court, which seemed like the option they preferred we would take up.
We accepted the waiting time and got to sit down 25mins later. Food was brought out in some time but with the chicken pieces cooked unevenly, some were done right, others seemed undercooked or burnt.
Maybe Nando's Rouse Hill prefers that you order carbonated drinks and doesn't want you drinking tap water as they seem to have broken all their glasses, or so we were told. Surprisingly, when we asked again for glasses, we were given plastic cups as alternatives, which did the job just fine.
Probably would have ranked this a little higher but the hassle that we had to go through just to get seated ruined the experience, made us feel like we had walked in to a reservation-only fine dining establishment wearing shorts and thongs. Will avoid...
Read moreLast month had tried putting through an online order but never received delivery. Tried calling main line/store, door dash driver multiple times with no answer. Eventually made my way in store about 2 hours after initial order was put through and they had made my order in store and assured that I would be reimbursed for the online order/delivery payment and inconvenience as it was not delivered to me. One month on and still no reimbursement.
