UPDATE 23.06: Great news! I have since returned to this establishment and am happy to say the chicken was juicy, the flavour was delicious, and everything was perfect, even on a particularly busy night. Very glad to update this review to 5 stars!

I'm normally a big fan of Nene Chicken, and greatly enjoy the Parramatta establishment. Unfortunately, trying Nene Chicken Macquarie for the first time recently was disappointing. The chicken was quite dry and the dusting of Snowing Chilli I received was dismal; there was barely any flavouring to it at all. I had ordered the 8-pack of flavoured chicken and was disappointed to see that I had received two small drumsticks, one breast piece, and the rest were either wings or just small chunks of chicken. This was incredibly disappointing as I had been looking forward to enjoying Nene all week during my visit to Macquarie Centre, but was severely let down by sub-par chicken and a notable lack of flavouring.

I hope to attend again in the future in an effort to prove that this visit was merely an outlier, in which case I will update the review. I have high expectations and look forward to attending the store a...

Food was good. We ordered the snowy cheese boneless fried chicken. Suggested serving is 2-3 people, but we shared it between 2. We did have some leftovers, however i would certainly suggest ordering something else if you wish to share between 3 people.

The batter to chicken ratio was good and it was nicely balanced with a good amount of snowy cheese flavour. The chicken was also very tender and juicy and full of flavour.

We also ordered the tornado potato with the chilli flakes. Would have liked it to be more spicy but otherwise still a good base cheesy flavour.

We didn't have to wait too long for our food, but we did eat around 5:30-6pm which was just before the normal dinner rush.

Tip: If you are unsure if you can finish what you ordered, just order your food for takeaway and then eat at the restuarant. It will save you from paying for a takeaway box later and going back to the counter to pay again (especially if long lines)

Would recommend! Just make sure to come a bit earlier, as around 6pm - 6:30pm it started to...

I had the "Snowing Cheese" Boneless Chicken, and Sweet Potato Fries as a side. The food looked so delicious, I forgot to take photos first. I decided to eat-in, and got a table next to the escalators. I like that gloves are given, even for the boneless option. Additional cutlery would've been good for the salad and radish. Perhaps I could've just asked.

The chicken was crispy and great. Comparable to many other Korean fried chicken restaurants I've tried; crunchy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside. The Snow Cheese seasoning was a bit too sweet for my taste though. Value-wise, the serving size was big enough to justify the price. Again, comparable to other restaurants.

Will definitely have to return to try the other flavours.

Would have lost one star for the service, unfortunately. The employees were undoubtedly very tired since the Centre had an unusually high number of people today, so I'll give 5 stars for now. If I get the same low level of service the next time I eat there, I'll revise...

Good value and the spice was excellent. Just on this side of survivable but hot enough to remind me I was alive, lol. I would definitely eat here again. I’ve had Korean fried chicken in Korea and this is a good version.

Best described as ok to mediocre. The food tasted fine but nothong special. Bulgogi tacos were just fried chicken with lettuce, tomato and tasty cheese, nothing bulgogi about it (we are thinking there was meant to be a sauce on it?). Ordered a burger and was given a wrap. When I told them they said well this is what you ordered so I kept it (even though it said burger on the screen when I ordered!) The wrap was cold but the inside was warm so it was not too plesent. The soft shell crab was pretty nice but the kimchi tasted like nothing. $4.85 for 10 small onion rings was a bit insulting too. All in all, pretty expensive and pretty bland. Also the place was flithy. Waiter wiped down the table next to us and left it covered with food and used disposable gloves on the seat! Also long waiting time and very minimal seating. Don't think we will be going back.
