We went to Noulis to see if the quality of food and experience was good, then, being a local restaurant, it could be a favourite. Due to the popularity of the Boat Shed Restuarant, it would be great to support a new upstart restaurant. Feelings are mixed but on the positive, the interior of the restaurant has been rebuilt and the décor is quite pleasing. The outer tables at the front of the restaurant have some views over the bay. Service staff are excellent and they do thoroughly clean each table after it is vacated, so you can be assured of the cleaniness.
Kitchen can viewed from the counter and is immaculate. It wasn’t overlerly busy on the day we had lunch but meals were being delivered fairly quickly
Pricing is reasonable in comparision to similar restuarants and quanity of food was find.
Negative, I found the calamari meal I purchased was what I described as a bit soggy. The crumbs were sliding off the calamari. I am not disputing the quality or taste of the calamari. I felt that they had not dried the calamari before preparing it or the herbed crumbs were too wet. In relation to the other meal purchased toasted chicken roll and chips, presentation was good, quantity was fine. Unfortunately the chips could have been hotter. Over all, it is a pleasant restaurant to go to and enjoy a meal. It is the little things that give the wrong impression of a restaurant that has such good potential and we may come back later in the year...
Read moreNouli’s Café is a wonderful spot to enjoy a meal near La Pérouse, especially if you’re after food that balances flavour, freshness, and presentation. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the dishes more than justifies it.
The food here is excellent—generous, beautifully plated, and full of flavour. The lamb skewer platter was a highlight: tender, perfectly grilled meat served with warm pita, golden fries, and a fresh Greek-style salad with feta. It felt hearty, authentic, and satisfying. Another standout was the scrambled egg dish, which came layered on toasted sourdough and topped with vibrant vegetables, herbs, and crispy garnishes—a creative twist on brunch that looked as good as it tasted.
Coffee lovers won’t be disappointed either. The cappuccino arrived with stunning latte art (a perfect swan!) and rich, balanced flavour, while the matcha latte was smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of earthy sweetness—again, beautifully presented.
The atmosphere at Nouli’s matches the food: relaxed, welcoming, and with a touch of sophistication. It’s the kind of place where you can linger over brunch or enjoy a meal before exploring the La Pérouse headland and nearby historic sites.
If you’re in the area, Nouli’s Café is definitely worth a visit. Yes, it’s a little expensive, but between the thoughtful presentation, the fresh ingredients, and the overall dining experience, it delivers great...
Read moreRUDE owner asking for one order per restroom use and advertising it is something very Australian which is clearly NOT! Seems the staff is also super oppressed by this gentleman who has lost touch with humbleness in a tourist spot. Hope he never retires and gets the Karma for a cheap restroom mentality merely isolated to his personality. By the way this owner also felt more racist towards Asians even though half his staff is from there.
REPLY TO RUDE OWNER COMMENT When we four entered the cafe and were asked by the staff if we are dining in, we mentioned our intention to only use the restroom. The staff showed us the way to the toilets and even instructed us to enter one at a time. There is no display of house rules nor we were informed about them by anyone. You ONLY showed up after 2 of us already used the restroom. We readily agreed to this exceptional highly disrespectful and late informed unpublished small mentality house rules. We did order 2 drinks to compensate your greedy retirement plan of earning from late information of restroom use. You can also soften up and be more polite like every other Australian cafe owner we have seen in last five years especially being compassinate to your guests and staff (stop bullying them...
