Had dinner at Oceans Narrabeen and it was a lovely night out! The view I reckon would have been great during the day! Any case, sat indoors and they have options of normal seating or high stool which looked pretty comfortable. Temperature in the restaurant was pleasant and overall atmosphere was nice! Menu offerings for the size of the establishment is decent. They have specials for every day of the week and have weekend specials too- do look out for it on the wall or ask service staff. We had ordered some starters- buffalo wings and hot chips! Was nice! Really rated the hot chips as it arrive at table hot, crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft inside and paired well with the garlic aioli sauce served with it. The buffalo wings was good too but could do with a better plating presentation as it looked kinda under presented on the size of plate despite its yummy taste; nice and tangy and some mild heat to it. For mains, we’ve ordered the spaghetti with prawns, mussels in tomato base sauce served with focaccia, burger and Thursday night special Tacos Board . All of it was yummy! Spaghetti was al Dante, generous portion of prawns fitting with the price, mussels had a sauce that made you want to dive back into the pot over and over again to devour the juicy plump mussels, burger patty medium -medium rare just the way I like it and have a good beefy umami taste that went well with all the fillings like pickles, beetroot, tomato, lettuce. Last but not least, Tacos Board! Love this! You can to try little bit of the entree menu and their Tacos offerings! Taco was nice and light and we choose the seared tuna and pulled pork option. Both refreshing and if you’re more of a meat lover the pulled pork will Be your go to. There is a vegetarian filling option of fish or pork is not your go to. We were rather full at the end of it otherwise I would have loved to have tried their sticky date pudding! But we opted for tea and coffee to end of the night. Pleasantly surprise once again with coffee! It had a full body , rich caramelly , possibly dark chocolate notes to it, and we love it! Milk was steam well - creamy and had the right amount of milk foam on the top to make it a nice cappuccino, long black was serve with a side of soda water / sparkly water as a chaser and they so kindly accommodated our tea order by providing a cup of ice and slice of lemon due to dietary/health conditions. Drink options, normal array from hot drinks, coffee/tea, smoothies and alcohol. Would have love it if they had a few nice draft beer options but still a good selection of beer to choose from. Overall if you live in the area, it’s great to have a nice place like Oceans to go around as they are also DOG FRIENDLY!! Comfortable seatings outside to wine and dine with your fur babies. Open for breakfast through to dinner, it is a nice establishment to revisit!!

While Oceans has ALWAYS been my go-to cafe spot before and after a beach swim for a number of years, my recent experience over the long weekend has left a sour taste. Unfortunately the team were extremely busy meaning customer service went straight out the door. I decided to simply order just a drink seeing as the team were frantically trying to keep up with the busyness (particularly as Happy Hour had just kicked off) only to be left waiting over 30 minutes for a blended (frappe) iced chai which was warm and not iced at all. The lovely staff member which brought out my drink (which had been left sitting on the service table) did not apologies for the delay and just palmed the drink over. While, I never feel the need to share negative feedback my experience left me feeling extremely disappointed :(

Had a poor experience at our pre-Covid favourite breakfast cafe in Narrabeen this morning and felt the need to share to hopefully encourage them to improve their attitude. Ordered sweet potato corn fritters and dropped the Labna cheese but added mushrooms. $18 for the fritters and then an extra $6 for two small mushrooms seemed pretty unreasonable (see the photo). Then when we spoke to the waitress, no getting the chef or the manager to sort it out and no adjustment to an unreasonble price. When I commented that it looked like the only way we could resolve this was by not coming back , we still got a blank look and no offer to resolve the situation. The fritters tasted great but the overall experience was definitely unsavoury and we won't be returning.

I recently dined at Oceans Narrabeen and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, and the presentation was stunning, making it a truly memorable dining experience.

First and foremost, the food at Oceans Narrabeen was exquisite. Every dish that I tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The ingredients used were fresh, and the attention to detail in the preparation was evident in every bite. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and I was impressed with the creativity and quality of the dishes.

Not only was the taste of the food exceptional, but the presentation was also truly beautiful. Each dish was artfully arranged, and the visual appeal of the food was as impressive as its taste. The attention to detail in the plating was commendable, and it added an extra level of enjoyment to the dining experience.

The ambiance of Oceans Narrabeen was also delightful. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere with stunning views of the ocean. The service was attentive, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall positive experience.

I also appreciated the attention to dietary restrictions and preferences. The menu had ample options for vegetarians, vegans, and those with other dietary requirements, showing their commitment to catering to diverse needs.

In conclusion, I had a fantastic dining experience at Oceans Narrabeen. The food was exceptional in taste and presentation, the ambiance was inviting, and the service was attentive. I have been a regular to this restaurant for 18 months since moving to the area. I have taken my friends and family there many times such as today. I , and my friends have noticed a decrease in quality and quantity of the food along with increasing prices. Even so, we have had many enjoyable meals there. One of the waiters has an attitude and is not very customer friendly. Today was a prime example of this and his poor attitude to client service. I had the barramundi burger and hadn't eaten much of it when I noticed a bad taste. I hadn't noticed at first as I was eating mainly the chees and jalapenos with the lettuce. I also smelled the fish and knew it was not fresh and it was 'bad' or 'off'. I called the waiter over and told him and said I would have chips instead. It had turned me off eating anything else. When it was time to pay, he arrogantly said he took 20% off the price of the dish. I wasn't happy with that and he said that I had eaten 3/4 of it. This is not true and it was insulting. Even if it were true, wouldn't it be 25% off not 20. My friends with me also commented on his poor attitude. Only the Sunday before I dined there with a friend and we spent $360.00. I am a good client and did not deserve this treatment, I am appalled and especially being served bad food and then given a smart comment about having eaten most of it. How are they not embarrassed and apologetic for serving food that isn't fresh and not edible. I won't be recommending this restaurant to my friends and family anymore, we will dine elsewhere. There are plenty of other good restaurants in Narrabeen with hopefully better...
