Read moreVery nice unpopulated beach, not sure why google has 2 entries so here I go again
Nice beach, if u like beach running, this is the place to be as it is longer than most other nearby beaches and there is literally no one there. Even the slsc is deserted! The waves are too big so surfers all scared.
All other beaches in Sydney such as Bondi and Manly are covered with fake sand, so this is one of the few urban beaches you can actually find quality seashells (as in large and pretty) due to large waves washing them ashore.
It is actually quite easy to get to, if u take the b1 bus from Wynyard there is a stop 10minutes walk away.
Or u can go to Mona Vale by b1 bus and walk down the coast.
Or u can get off at Dee why by bus and walk up the coast as it is a nice long beach walk past some iconic beaches and a nice open air pool at colloroy Beach . 136 bus from chatswood interchange stand A goes to Dee why.
Note some other reviewers below confused collaroy Beach with narrabeen as the collaroy end is full of people whereas narrabeen northern end is where superman can build a temple of solitude. They should check their google maps lol
Alternatively, you may wish to see the other google review, the one with the ocean St address as that one is more accurate...
