Well I'm pretty disappointed with how we were treated last night. I don't usually give negative feedback but last night was not forgivable.

The waitress came and explained how thing works but she was waving her hand around and knock that little menu standing thing on my sister. She did apologise, I'm not upset about that as everyone can be clumsy or making mistake

The same waitress brough out the 2 sake drinks that I ordered. She gave the drink to my sister and the garnish fell on the floor, no apologies, just simple walked away... we were like what the...?

We've ordered about 20+ plates of different dishes and the table was very small, staff just kept bringing the food out even though we had no room left on the table. So I asked the male waitor if we can either go to a bigger table or if we can get extra table next to us, he co mpletely ignored me

I finally got an attention from one of the lovely waitresses and asked if we can make our table bigger. She went to her manager and asked. She was told that it's fully booked and the request cannot be achieved

There were 5 - 6 empty tables from when I arrived and left, but the manager said it was full house? I kept an eye on the tables as well as taking photos of the empty tables

I understand that all waitor and waitresses were doing their best to bring all the food out for us, however we got nowhere to put the food. Both of us had to eat with one hand holding one plate (as we can't put it down anywhere) and the other hand for eating. The food kept coming out and we had no room and people in the restaurant were staring at us and made us feel very embarrassed. Staff didn't try to find a better solution for us but just kept handing food to our table

Since we got nowhere to put it down, we had to shove the food as many plates as possible down our throat to make room for the new dishes, the staff was just standing over us like I need to put this food down as I have to go bring food to other tables. People were staring at us and we didn't feel well catered to as well as not feeling safe. I got extremely sick after I left the restaurant, not food poisoning but from shoving everything down, I had to pull over on the side of the road for 40mins vomiting, this is the worst experience I've ever had in my entire life!!

The first thing I ordered was sushi & sashimi platter came out last just before we order dessert, the sushi was rock hard like they are using rice that has been sitting in the fridge for a long time

The dessert Taiyaki and Ice cream took forever, we saw other who ordered after us got their dessert first. Took us awhile to get attention from staff when the restaurant was half empty

If the table was bigger or made bigger, I would have appreciate it so much. But the zero care factor from the manager is absurd!! I usually do insta story and reviews for my followers of where I'm at, but I couldn't even do it ... My sister and I both travelled all the way from the eastern suburb to Camden, coz we both wanted to change the atmosphere and to check out different vibes and last night was a complete nightmare. I didn't even enjoy the vibes, food or anything but I got really sick instead

We both also noticed that the manager was avoiding us the whole night, I was ready to put everyone in their place. The cashier lady had audacity to ask how did we go or if we enjoy the food.... I just gave a straight answer 'not great'

I can't believe the service like this still exists in 2024. I understand that all staff were doing their job but nobody or the manager has gone above and beyond to make us happy or at least have an enjoyable experience. Staff definitely needs a proper training and you guys need to set some sort of customer service standards! My sister and I left very disappointed and also made us think if this is Camden standards or this is...

My partner loves sushi, so what better place to go than an all you can eat sushi restaurant! We walked in and initially there was no one at the reception to greet us, we stood around for a minute until someone noticed. We were finally greeted and sat down with the reservation pre-booked earlier.

I noticed that the decor wasn't the nicest for a Japanese restaurant, the walls were light grey, the tables were black, the chairs were a dark mahogany which didn't seem to go with anything else in the restaurant, the seats on the chairs weren't the most comfortable and a lot of them were taped together from the fabric splitting. There was no theme to the restaurant which is unfortunate as Japanese restaurants are usually very meticulous.

There was quite a bit of food splatter on the floor from previous customers sitting behind me which didn't get cleaned up the whole time we were seated. I was hoping the food was going to be better than the furnishings and unfortunately it wasn't. The sushi rice didn't hold together, it was dry and a most of it fell apart as soon as you picked it up, the sashimi didn't taste fresh and the edamame was lukewarm however...There was a couple of good ones, I enjoyed the Udon noodles and the Japanese sausage was well cooked and packed lots of flavour. We finished the meal with all the ice cream flavours, the green tea and black sesame ice cream was my favourite.

I noticed at the end of the night a cockroach walking around the restaurant and pointed it out to one of the staff, they didn't seem to care much for it as no action was taken, five minutes later another customer walked in and noticed it too, again pointing it out to the staff which did nothing about it, I responded to the customers statement with "I know, I told them about it 5 minutes ago" in a laughing way. All-in-all, it was an okay experience but I wouldn't go back for the price they are charging.

(Unfortunately these days everyone is a food critic with Google Reviews and I find it harder to trust them anymore with all these 5 stars, I dont think many people have had a true 5 star...

This evening my partner and I had dinner. The lady welcomed us and was friendly and professional. The female waitresses were professional. The young males out the back cooking were very immature and lacked professional service and respect for diners and the female waitresses. I observed some of the males at the back (could see into the kitchen) wearing gloves and putting his hands near his mouth and playing with his hair and then cooking food. Another male began playing with the front of his hair and sliding it back and forward to the side. After seeing this I felt sick and could not eat anymore food. I spoke with a waitress and notified her of our concerns and she apologised went to address it with the males and they just laughed at her, looked at me and then continued laughing. I then addressed the second waitress (front of house taking payment female) who advised that the males do not listen to her I advised it was not her fault however it has made us not want to return. She said the manager was currently away and that she would inform them. I hope the owner and manager see this review and address this disgusting service and disrespect from the males in the kitchen. We would like to return but definitely on the fence about it after seeing their unhygienic and disrespectful behaviour. Please speak with these employees. Lots of people looking for work that would do the right thing. These males are making your business look bad. Definetly a turn off seeing someone cooking food and wearing gloves and touching their hair (full sticking it back and ruffling it) and then fingers in and near their mouth with gloves on. Paid $85+ definitely not worth the...

Had the pleasure of dining at Okami for the first time on Monday. The restaurant was very spacious and offered ample seating options. We were after a pram friendly set-up and the manager (Sushant) was very accommodating. We opted for the buffet dining experience which was $42.80/pp. Sushant was very helpful and guided us through how the ordering process worked since it was our first time there. Being the first ones there when the restaurant opened up at 5.30pm, the food came out very fresh. They offered 45 dishes to choose from as part of the buffet menu. Great variety offered in terms of beef/chicken/side dishes. Their crispy chicken and salmon crunch sushi rolls were very yummy. However, the sashimi on offer was only raw salmon (this had to be ordered as a platter containing other sushi varieties, not a stand alone dish). Something to consider if you are a sashimi lover and was expecting an array of choices, you may want to consider elsewhere. If you don't mind and enjoy the traditional Japanese dishes then it's not a bad dining experience. I can definitely vouch that the service from Sushant is top notch as he checked in throughout our time there to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Keep up the amazing work!

First time visiting this popular restaurant. It was pretty much a full house, but service was still prompt. You use the QR code to order, and the food is delivered to the table. We had two small issues with the visit. Firstly, a 15% surcharge for Easter weekend was not mentioned when we were seated. In fact, the server specifically mentioned the usual price when she was explaining the ordering process. Secondly, some of the pricing for drinks was confusing. It was $4.20 for a glass of Cola and an EXTRA $7.20 for a jug. Who does that? Just make them 2 separate menu items. Thankfully, the rest of my party was out on the footpath so we could arrange the extra amount needed for the bill. All that aside, we will definitely be returning.
