Once again if there was only zero stars. Place under new owners for a little while and I hadn’t been there since the new owners. The lady was too busy worrying about Uber eats or any of those other food delivery places. Was told I’ll be with you in a minute after waiting for a good 2-3 minutes with no acknowledgement. As I said was told I’ll be served shortly. Lady went out the back and I thought ok she’s washing her hands…. Nope! Came back from out the back and continued cooking. Could have at least taken my order or have said it will be a couple of minutes until I can serve you. Ended up walking out and found another place which was way nicer! Beware for ordering in shop that if there is even 1 order in front of you, you won’t have your order taken and will be left waiting for service. Definitely a big disappointment by the new owners. Goes to show they aren’t very good. Previous 2 owners were way better! Will gladly never walk back into that...

I have been going to the Billy the Squid for a few years as i have always been satisfied with the food , i was happy to find the back in the day same service and great food for fish and chip local shop , but unfortunately there is now new owners and tonight a had to contacted them back to inform that not only did I not get what I asked for the steak sandwich was absolutely horrible, full of vainey ,& full of fatty meat and lettice that was nearly brown. We also ordered a hamberger with the lot and omg the burger was not eatable as the meat was dry old piece of meat. I was so so disappointed as it was only place that had beautiful old school burgers & just like the old back in the days fish and chip shops. I diffiently will not be going back to this take away shop t waste my hard earned money .. such a shame as Camden has lost a beautiful and one of tje best little...

Because of a recommendation I had high expectations. We ordered fish and chips grilled and also of the battered variety. The grilled fish was kind of soggy and in my opinion not grilled long enough. I also think the fish was coated in flour when put on the grill, which I'm not a fan of. The kids on the other hand had the battered fish and they were nice and crunchy. The fish came with thin chips which were really enjoyable as well! Their Facebook page shows an outdated menu with misleading, low prices plus items like the advertised octopus salad that are not available in the shop.

All in all a pleasant but not...
