Vulgar service, false advertising and an unhygienic chef I came in on Saturday night around 8pm. I waited at the counter to be served whilst 2 other staff members watch me stand at the counter. A waiter who was fiddling beneath the counter took her time doing something and finally took my order. I ordered the $8 wonton special for Lunar New Year along with the extra dumplings for an extra $1. The lady rudely informed me that the chicken wontons were not available, and I could choose other dumplings instead. I chose the prawn ones for the wonton soup. As I chose the prawn dumplings for the soup the waitress told me with attitude that she would be giving them to me for free as the prawn ones aren’t included in the deal. I went on to tell her that it wasn’t my fault that the store ran out of chicken dumplings. I also ordered a few dumplings for $1 each as it was a special. I sat with a view of the chef standing at the wok. He continued touching his hair and then his phone whilst cooking. The Chef did not wear a hair net or a hat. The meal came out fast. The three dumplings were cold and there were only 2 prawn dumplings in the soup. The picture depicted of this special has 5 dumplings, on their social media posts it has 4 dumplings in the wonton soup. I went up to the counter and asked why I only received 2 prawn ones when the image on the advertisement depicted 5. She said that’s not her fault and shook it off. The short black haired Asian girl behind the counter proceeded to ignore me. The staff here are juvenile, careless, and unclean. The vegetables in the soup are overcooked, the chicken was dry, and the broth was okay. The cold dumplings were bland even with the sauce. I would not recommend this place.

It's ok standard safe Thai food to satisfy a craving but nothing special. Ordered beef pad Thai. No lemon was provided. The beef was cooked well enough, such that it was tender and not overcooked. The overall dish lacked 'Wok Hey' which is a Chinese term for 'Breath of the Wok' which is the flavour imparted from the combination of gas, heat, and oil from cooking with the wok. It's similar to the taste of charcoal imparted into your grilled foods. Lots of bean sprouts, great! Adds to texture, but also like they're attempting to supplement noodles with sprouts to add to the volume. Beef, in this case, cooked very well, but not a lot of it. I reckon there's about 50-100g of meat at most. Would I recommend this place? Yes, but it depends. Thai food locations are limited and, in my honest opinion, the food is overpriced for what you're getting. Unfortunately, economy being what it is, ingredients, especially meat, is more expensive. Pad Thai is a very cheap item to make, which starts at 13.95, add beef and it turns to 18.95. If I'm paying this much, I'd go to another Thai restaurant ; unfortunately, choices are limited. Other locations such as those in the city such as Satang Thai, the pad Thai is between $13-15 regardless of what meat you choose. Other hidden costs include rent and franchise fees that may be pressuring businesses to raise prices. Ultimately, if you have a craving for Thai food and need a safe consistent choice, P'Nut, like Macca's, fulfills that need and satiate that craving. One thing I will applaud p'nut for is their hours. They are open throughout their trading hours and do not close between lunch and dinner services.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE... I would rather give you half a star for your food and the unpleasant experience we had recently. The only reason I gave you a star rating is because you spend your valuable time cooking the food. Being vegetarian we ordered Chilli Basil Noodles and a Thai Fried Rice. Despite being specifically told to make it spicy, it was mild. There were NO Broccoli, NO Snow peas, NO Basil leaves in any of the food. Too much saucy and salty. I mean, when you charge close to $20 a plate we expect at-least what you advertised on your website. Your menu and the food you offered is good but only in pictures. That's why they say "Do not judge the book by its cover". I am a food lover and I always try different restaurants and you never know you may hit a jackpot. Compromising on spices and ingredients ruin the original taste of the dish. Anyway, I hope you would have understood by now and I didn't want to tell you and accept our FINAL GOODBYE. I hope the owner would really read these reviews, and take this as an opportunity/learning and take some action.
