Patploy Thai — Restaurant in Sydney

After a walk in Manly we decided to try this Thai restaurant. We love Thai food and had many occasions to try authentic Thai food in Thailand. We consider ourselves as Foodies. We tried the Ginger & Shallots stir fry with King Prawns.... it was far too salty! We also tried the Crying Tiger Beef (thinly sliced grilled marinated beef) was not thinly sliced and really chewy. Both dished were not really warm as served on cold plates. Customer service during check out was terrible: On the menu it was clearly notified that payment by card was accepted for bills over 15$ therefore we didn’t go to ATM to cash some monies. At check out we were asked to pay a surcharge of 1,9% which we were highly surprised as it was not notified on the menu (we checked beforehand as we hate to pay card surcharge) and usually walk away from this concept). We suggested to add it on the menu to avoid any confusion. The lady (apparently one of the managers/owner) started to argue about the topic and reacted abusively and even told us not to ever come again whilst reimbursing us the 90c surcharge we previously paid. Really bad customer service. We made an order through their website for pick up. When I arrived to their shop, they had sent the order by mistake as a delivery, but they didn’t even had an address to deliver. Tried to get our money back, but the lady in charge refused and told me the only option was to wait for another order to be made. Just frustrating communication. At the end the junior staff admitted it was their mistake, but the older lady was just incredibly rude and never really apologise for her conduct. OMG! Would have to be the best Thai food I have ever had. (Yes I've eaten a lot of Thai food including in Thailand) Absolutely amazing. We had, Tom Yum soup, Thai beef salad and Thai red curry with coconut rice. All of them where super delicious. They tasted so fresh. Perfect amount of heat (chilli) in the meals. Unfortunately we where visiting from out of state otherwise we would be back every week. Thank you very much Patploy for the wonderful meals you served up.
