Update on my lasagna experience. My faith has been restored in Peppe's products. They responded quickly, apologised, and kindly offered me a replacement. I did take them up on their offer. I met Joe at Peppe’s, a gentlemen with great pride in their products. Joe was honest with what could have gone wrong and reassured that it had been addressed. And this is apparent, the replacement lasagna is back to its fabulous tasting meaty self. Thank you, Peppe's Pasta at Haberfield, for keeping up a great product. 5 stars to you and the team for lasagna and customer service.
Original post. I love Peppe's frozen beef lasagna. Heat and eat, and it's usually beautiful - was very special...But I have just had an unfortunate experience. Tonight my lasagna meal was flat. I said to my wife "what do you think?", she replied hardly any mince in this lasagna, it's all tomato sauce. I looked at my plate and she was right, I found it hardly contained any mince at all. Read moreI’m scoring down because of the unpleasant customer service. In store, I asked if the veg lasagne was available and I was repeatedly told I had to order ahead of time. No worries, but I couldn’t find it on the website so I didn’t consider that option. I also asked a very basic question about the beef lasagne - I wanted to check if it’s just beef or does it have pork in it too. The shop assistant said in a passive aggressive tone that she would ‘have to check the label’ as if it were a stupid question and I was wasting her time (there weren’t any in the store I could check myself). Surely knowing what the main ingredient is in one of the key products sold is a fairly rudimentary requirement of the job? She also charged me for what I was buying before ‘checking the label’ - she had no interest in helping me buy the beef lasagne.
